We did the trench for the well line yesterday and there are a few things left to finish.

We were supposed to do the electrical from the house to the meter, but the excavator broke.

It will make things a bit messy for a little while.

messy how?
All the utilities enter the house in basically the same place, so the plan was to open things up once and fill back in when done.

The plan was to do the water yesterday, the electric today, and have everything backfilled for Monday so carpentry could resume with no holes in the ground and any danger of falling into a hole.

We are supposed to do the electric from the meter to the pole on Monday, so that means the hole will be open until Tuesday, or later.

You know...messy. ;)

Morning, Evening ...

Breakfast was delicious, liver steak with lots of onions[red and white], some [bacon], [coffee] and hojaldras [homemade flour fritters] ... now, enjoying some eggnog drenched chocolate cake ...

Nate, you make plans the guy upstairs is the one that decides what gets done ...

In other news, saw this on somewhere I'm also subscribed, any thoughts:
"  I know that a lot of people are convinced that ethanol in our gasoline is the reason for the plastic tank deformation, but I'm going to burst your bubble and direct you do your own research, but here is the long and short of it:
>
> PA6 (Nylon-6) is resistant to all alcohols including ethanol.
>
> That's right.  The settlement is partly based on an unproven falsehood.
>
> The real culprit is WATER.  PA6/Nylon absorbs water like crazy -- Up to 10% of it's volume.  Water is a common problem in fuels, and always has been, especially on motorcycles given the location of the filler.
>
> The only relationship that ethanol has to the tank problem is when you live in a particularly humid environment (or are using water-tainted fuel).  Ethanol absorbs more water than gasoline does.  Those of you who live in the desert probably never have had any problem with your tank expanding -- my database of complaints (with over 600 people now) shows the greatest concentrations in places where the average annual humidity is over 35% or so.  In southern california, there are very very few complaints (some, but not as many as in New York).
>
> So ethanol is not the real problem, it's the propensity of PA6 (nylon-6) to absorb water"

So, that's why when my tank is halfway, it expands?
