Fully loaded, babied, very low miles, runs great, carbon fiber mud guard and carbon fiber exhaust and red >> wheels. It has a dent in the gas tank that can be seen in the picture >> and was previously owned by an auto mechanic.

So just for laughs I called the number and asked politely if there was a misprint. He tried to sell me on it because it has an after market CF exhaust and "thats why they're selling it for $9K."

I mentioned that the bike didn't sell for that much new and he hung up on me. Lol

wow, if the exhaust raised the price to 9K then he paid a bit too much for that exhaust. even if it's a full termi system it shoudn't have been much more than $1500.

maybe i can sell my 02 750 with an upgraded engine and pipes for $7000. $8000 if i clean it first.

why be hating?

we should all be so lucky to find a chump to buy one of our bikes at an overinflated price if we choose to sell our bikes.

with any luck when i'm ready to upgrade i can hopefully find a chump to buy my bike for at least 1500 over what it should be selling for.  capitalism at its best, find the sucker that is born everday and make sure they are the one that buys stuff from you.   [laugh] [laugh]

True.  If someone offered me 8K for my M750, I'd take it!

I walked into my local dealer that had a 1999 900SS marked for $6000 w/ 20,000 miles.  I told him I like it but wasn't interested in that price (NADA was $4300 for reference)  I nitpicked it to death and they "would work something out" if I wanted to come back Monday.  Two hours later a guy walked in and paid $6000 + whatever taxes & fees.  It was his 1st bike too.

A mechanic once told me "never buy anything that was owned by a mechanic." Why? "You don't wanna know."

I'm guessing because of all the crazy experimental abuse their stuff goes through.

I drove said mechanic's 400 bhp 1.8t Audi and it seemed like the odo was under-reading by 100,000 miles. Speaking of whichâ€"how many miles is "very low miles?"
