I'll push my Ford before I own a Dodge. [laugh]

What about a Ridgeline?

Honda makes a good product.

Dodge IMO has too many body integrity issues.

The door hinge pins in particular.

No available V-8=not a real truck...

So will you be hauling huge trailers and carrying half ton loads in your truck?

If I recall, you work for the Navy, so this isn't a work truck.

I think most people could accomplish their needs with a smaller truck.

I use my Dakota for firewood & playing in the snow.  Still got the V8, good thing for when I forget I'm loading green firewood and fill the bed ~

I'm just amazed around here how many SUV's have V8's but yet, they are never used for anything other than typical driving.

You can look at it like this: SUV's are getting heavier and heavier. More components, more safety features, etc. My wife's Touareg for example weighs 5300lbs. If not for the V8, it would be pretty sluggish. The V6 and V8 Touareg actually get very similar mileage...

How is her mileage?  I hear it sucks.

No way, I don't buy that.

I get 13.9 mpg in my RX300

Take driving style into consideration when comparing notes.  I get 26-29 out of my old Taurus.  My fiancée gets 19-21 out of it.

I'm not really concerned if you buy it or not, I really have no reason to lie about it...

AVERAGE fuel economy in the Touareg in OUR experience is in the high 13's...
