...the National Enquirer has broken the marital silence with a report of a recent close call while riding has Scarlett Johansson asking her new husband to give up riding.

I hope she gets educated...quick. The posters are coming off the garage walls...

He seems like a pretty level-headed guy.   Regardless of how hot she is  [evil], I hope he doesn't cave in to the pressure to give up riding.  :-\

I suspect she's having a knee-jerk reaction to his close call on a bike.  It happens.

typical female behavior -- part of the reason she likes him is what makes him want to ride, so let's get rid of that...

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

I don't know about you but.....

my mental image of her does not include her husband.

Just sayin'.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

That's the kinda thing that needs to be talked about early on IMO. I've talked about it with both my girlfriends after we were going out for a year and then if something like that is gonna end it, it'll end it early on.

You have two? I guess the motorcycle thing is an easy negotiation after that ;D

Yup.  My ex's attitude became increasing dismal toward motorcycles.  She took the MSF and couldn't master the clutch on the Ninja 250.  So, she took her frustrations out on my desire & ability to ride.  She was fresh out of the MSF, and started telling me all the things I was doing wrong.  Then she dumped the Ninja 250 twice then sold it.  Had we gotten married the bikes would have been gone or we'd have been divorced within a year.

Actually one of the more important things I've discussed with girlfriends was that should I get the chance, it is perfectly okay if I sleep with Scarlett.

As far as bikes, I had one girl try and threaten me out of riding (she claimed she was going to tell my parents, who were of course, opposed). I got out of the car and left her there, never to be seen again.

Priorities.

Yea, she loves him now and is trying to "save his life".  Later she'll be having an affair with somebody on a movie set and bootin his young ass out.

Like said, part of what makes the guy interesting to her is the same glimpse of bad boy risk taking behavior that makes bikes interesting to him.

Most Hollywood marriages don't last that long.  Either she'll be dumping him or he'll be dumping her. [popcorn]

I hate the cliche the article ends with. I'm not saying I'm immune to crashing, but I certainly don't need to crash to feel like a bona fide motorcycle enthusiast.

other than that, spot on. He beats Brad Pitt's custom duc & Angelina w/ the Paul Smart & Scarlett Johansen.

erkishhorde

I don't think the cliche is meant to imply that crashing is a badge of honor. I think it's there more to imply that crashing is part of riding and everyone does it eventually so it's not something to worry about.
