I'm so annoyed with the versus network. I'm in Akron, Ohio. Pittsburgh is about 2+ hours away. Tonights Pens/Flyers game was blacked out.  Their announcers suck hard anyway, but to see a UFC rerun instead of hockey because Pittsburgh isn't terribly far - totally stupid.

I bought NHL Center Ice the first day it went on sale this season. Almost none of the playoffs are on center ice since Versus has the broadcast rights. I have missed two red wings games this entire season. If I miss a minute of the playoffs, I am going to be hate crime angry.

Last night, 3 or 4 of the series were on Center Ice. Tonight, 3 of 'em are, including Bruins v. Canadiens, and Sharks v. Ducks. 
Sucks about missing the Pens game, though. I'll happily root for anyone playing Philly

The only way you could like the flyers is if they're the local team or you like dirty, cheap shots. Since at least the 1973 season, that team has been known for playing dirty.

Dirty is right. I was at a Sharks/Flyers game in the beginning of the season and there was a Flyers fan right in front of me. His jersey looked like it hadn't been washed, ever. He stunk, he was drunk, and all he wanted to do was fight everyone around him. I don't know where he came from. Probably all the way from Philly.

i dislike many of the fans that i cheer with, but you get assholes in every town.

i'm proud to be a flyers fan. i don't know that they'll pull it off because they always seem to choke when they start doing well, but i'll vote for them anyways. mainly because of the hate i see expressed here. if that's your attitude, then i hope they win and you choke on it.

ohh and they play far less physically than they did in the past.

one of my playoff-watching buddies is a hardcore flyers fan. it was painful sitting through the eastern semis last year w/him, but he was just happy to see them in the post season
