Theres quite a few duc pics.  The on the 848 makes me sad though.  What a waste of an 848.

What, crash?

I agree with the sentiment but just because someone doesn't wear gear doesn't automatically make them a bad rider.

redxblack

trying to drift on the street is dumb, not crashing.

Not necessarily a bad or unskilled one, just a stupid rider. My opinion, of course, and people have a right to gear up or not - and face the consequences.

I would agree being a professional drifter myself, do not drift on the street!! We try to tell people that all the time.  There are so many drifting track days now, you could drive every weekend with no fear of crashing or getting a wreckless driving ticket or killing someone.

I don't disagree that *I think* it's a poor choice not to wear gear. The fact is, plenty of smart people make that choice and don't wear ATGATT. I've ridden without all the gear but I don't delude myself into thinking that I won't get more seriously hurt if I get into an accident. That's where the problem lies IMO. If you make the choice not to wear ATGATT, fine, that's your choice but understand the consequences before you do.

I think there are a number of people out there on bikes who ride without even a reasonable understanding of the risks they're assuming when throwing a leg over. Ever heard someone say "I started seeing all the fences & poles on the side of the road & got scared & quit riding"? Those people freak me out because they rode for however long and didn't understand the dangers of what they were doing the whole time. I see all that stuff, all the time, that's why I choose to wear ATG99%OTT (;)).

IMO... it's typically the squids who plop down 800$ or more on an race replica arai or shoei instead of an affordable helmet like icon. Usually they just strap it to their helmet loop so the girls can see it while they sit around in a parking lot comparing the 280 tire kit and extended swingarm on their polished out, chromed up, "custom" painted, nitrous injected, twin turbo installed, useless piece of crap that they payed a ridiculous amount of money to "pimp". Just my .02 cents though....

Yup, if you read the comments you learn that he was running from the cops
They got him actually... We came up on him getting put in handcuffs.  He downed the 848, just saw it laying in the middle of the street.

Nah, you can find that sort of thing in any wal-mart parking lot on any given night during the warmer months of the year. I'm pretty certain the squid set has a long term lease on some parking spaces in my area.

Wonder how well a jersey prevents road rash?  Poor poor 848. So sad.   :'(

Had the lovely experience of watching a dude pull up behind me in my cage riding some Jap bike.  He was geared up for riding.... basketball jersey, warmups, and IZ_ moccasin house shoes.  The kicker..... he pulled out his cell phone and answered it while at the light.   [bang]
