When people come over to my house (non bike people mostly) they are amazed that I have two bikes in my living room. They say things like..."You can't fit those in your garage?" or "Are those real motorcycles?"
When my mother comes over it's the worst... I'm 42 years old and married... I haven't lived in her house since I was 19 years old and she still huffs and puffs disapprovingly when she sees the two beautiful Monsters parked on either side of the room.
Anyone have a cool pic of their bike in the house and a stupid remark someone has made about it?

I don't think there is anything wrong with it per se, but why do you keep them in the house?

Hey, if I could ride up the stairs, I would sleep with mine.

How do you get them in and out?  I assume some type of ramping system.

Normally people do this when they don't have a garage.  It's not uncommon here in ny.

Because I think they're beautiful Italian art and I love to sit and gaze adoringly at them. I can't see them when they're in the garage, plus the garage is cold out there. Garages are made for cars, lawn mowers, bicycles, and dirt bikes. Tools and weedeaters go out there. The Ducs stay warm and cozy in the house.

I do have a ramp to come up three stairs onto my front porch, then I slide the rear tire a little sideways and roll them backwards through the front door. Piece of cake.

+1 If I could have my bike in the living room, i would in a heartbeat!  right now she's covered in the rain. :'(
and even if I had a garage, I'll take her into the family room because she is family...she will have her very own corner. [thumbsup]

I'd do it if I didn't have a garage, but...

We occasionally keep one or both of our bikes in the kitchen since we have no garage:

Personally, I like having the bikes in the house.

I just ride the unicycle in the house. ;D

I'm not so sure that the wife would let me park a bike in house......but once I find a good deal on a bike and buy it, I'm sure going to try.

.....afterall, her road bicycle has been parked in the living room since we bought it (2 weeks).  We have a garage.

After 7 years of Monsters, I'm sadly bikeless right now.

It's not practical in the house I live in now. Both the front and rear entrances are too tight and confined to manuever a motorcycle through.

But I certainly would if I could. In fact, when shopping for our next house, I will try to find one with a front and/or rear entrance that will make it easy to bring a motorcycle inside.

One of the biggest arguments I ever had with my ex-wife was about bringing the bike in the house. She ab-slutty,,opps, I mean absolutely wouldn't have it. My NEW wife, on the other hand has no problem with it.  SCORE one 4 me!! ;D

Hey... now that I think about it... my ex wouldn't let my bike in the house but she let another guy in h... well for the sake of the kids I will leave the rest of that out but you can see the mentality I was forced to deal with. [bang]

I tried to bring mine in the house for the winter, but she wouldn't fit through the door.  So I had to rent a storage unit instead.  I'd be pumped to keep her in the house.  [thumbsup]
