'02 S4

« on: June 24, 2009, 04:44:49 PM »

Currently I have a lighten fly wheel, DP kit with sps cams, and a power commander. I'm wanting to upgrade my S4's power but not sure what to do next. I'm leaning towards HP pistons or a 955/984 kit.

Other thoughts are a slipper clutch, speedymoto full triple set, or a damper. Would love to do the wheels but that's too much $ for now Sad.

Or hell should I just stop dropping $$ into the S4 sale it and get a Street Fighter?

Thoughts?

I've done most all the upgrades you can on a s4.
Best is BSTs
Other good ones are slipper clutch, light rotors, suspension (ohlins/penske), 1080 motor.

It's cheaper to buy a new bike but not necessarily as satisfying.
Ask yourself is this a bike you are going to keep or a stepping stone.  Why upgrade a bike that you are only going to sell/trade (upgrades get pennies on the dollar at sell time).

BTW upgrades aren't cheap I could have had another bike or 2 if I stayed stock.

I can get the BSTs for 3500 shipped...is it really that noticeable of a  difference?

Where I am really torn is with the Street Fighter. I'm waiting on a response to see how much I can get for a trade in with my S4. It's my first street bike and I've owned it for bout 4 years now. That's the only bike I'd be willing to part with my bike for...

I agree with He-Man.  When i was talking about upgrading to the 1098 i wanted to trade in my 695 and they only offerred me $4000 and told me how great it is because it is non taxable.  Well i sold it privately for over $6000.
