Whatever you name your child, do them a couple favors.
1. Don't name them after an object like Porche or Ruby.
2. Don't pick some totally random way to spell their name just to make them unique like Eiryk (Eric).

Portia was a name of a character in a Shakespeare play - it definitely predates the brand Porsche.  Also, E-r-i-c appears to be just the most modern spelling of Aair'ick

Maybe bad examples, but I know what you mean.  Reminds me of the scene in the movie LA Story "Big S, little A little N, big D little E, big E"

Boy name was Elvis.  Elvis is a good, strong, name.  Ended up calling on of our chickens Elvis instead.  Vincent was the back up boy name.

Girl name was Louise, for my mother, or Rose for my grandmother.

My oldest daughter's name is Kaitlynn. I liked the spelling at the time because it's unique. But, people spell it wrong all the time, you can't find any souvenirs with her name spelled right, etc...
