My Honda Superhawk had Enkei wheels on it. I was thinking cool, now I finally have a set of Enkeis. But in your case if they don't match, they don't match..

Yeah, that is the thing.  They do seem like they would be cheaper to buy though, but the paint finish won't match.

As someone already pointed out enkei have been around forever. Their car wheels are hideously expensive.

Dunno if they still do but they used to make Mclarens wheels for the F1 cars.

Marchesini/brembo are the same company just different brand names.

Brembo is owned by Yamaha.

Brembo is owned by Yamaha.

Link please.  This is the first I have ever heard that and find it hard to believe.

NAKID

Yeah, Brembo is Brembo SpA, Italy. They aren't owned by anyone besides Brembo...

After doing some reading on other Ducati forums, it looks like Ducati may be going mostly or perhaps entirely to Enkei wheels.  A few people who have just taken delivery of new bikes have been quite displeased to find Enkei wheels instead of the adverstised Marchesini wheels.

do the wheels look the same? apart from the colour difference?
because if they are the same design but just made by enkei then Ducati are quite within their rights to change them.

sounds like a bunch of brand junkie fashion victims that ordered a ducati cos its trendy.

Folks who know their bikes won't care.

For the original poster.
Have you tried doing a breakers yard  part serach online?
Yeah it wont be new but it'll match and it can't be much older than the one you bent.

also is there a problem with the 696's wheels being soft? I'm pretty sure this isntt the  first bent wheel thread.
Maybe thats why theyve changed to Enkei?

How would I do the search you suggest?

I wouldn't doubt there is a problem with the wheels.

I remember reading a road test of the *then* new R1 and they said Yamaha owned Brembo.  That doesn't mean the magazine was correct...  and that is the only time I've ever read or heard about the Yamaha connection so the article must have been ?mis-informed? <- politically correct word lol
