Diesel officially hit $5.00 / gal at the Kailua pumps today.  :(

Oh, you beat us. Diesel is at $4.99 today in San Jose.

BTW, what's up with Rotten Robbie? They are the most expensive gas in my neighborhood since Thursday. Union 76 and Chevron are both less by 1-15 cents/gal.
Is it June yet?

4.09 for 3.8 L.

Translates to about 1.10 per L, I guess.

Currently $1.65 here in Aus, so sounds good to me!  [thumbsup]

I used to get mid 50's on my 620.  I got somewhere in the low 40's with the S2R1K and now I'm in the high 20's and low 30's with the S4Rs with a tank range of about 80 miles before the light comes on.   [bang]

But I'm not complaining.  While I was in Italy, it was around EU$1.51/litre off the AutoStrade for Benzine... so that translates out to $9.25 a gallon.  Ugg.  And I was driving a little smart forfour.

I'm happy driving my Diesel... got 37.4 MPG on my recent trip from Medford, Oregon back ot the SF Bay Area averaging at 73 MPH, so that's not too bad.  Along I5, I saw some stations charging $5.25/gal.  I feel sorry for the truckers who are depending on it for a living.  I just filled up near my house at a Chevron in Emeryville, CA for $5.15/gal.

Dude, spend some serious time down here before you make that statement.  It's not the paradise that everyone thinks it is.  One thing to holiday here, another thing entirely to live here.

I'll gladly give my first born (18) and second born (16) for premium gas (or even regular). My arms and legs I need.

Have the costs been rising as rapidly (during the last month) over there as they have here in the states?  I lived in Europe for almost eight years before moving to Hawaii last year and have never seen prices increase so much during such a short period of time.

Same situation here also. A very close friend who works for a bank in the mortgage dept. hasn´t seen so many houses being reclaimed by the bank in his life. It´s a really hard thing to do, he is so upset that people are losing their homes (so am I). The cost of living has just become silly since that goddam Euro came into circulation.

Examples of price increase.. 1 EUR= = 166.386 Spanish Pesetas (ptas)

                             Before          After
Coffee                   100 ptas        1.20EUR = 200ptas  - Twice the price
Lunch                    900 ptas       10.00EUR = 1663ptas - Nearly twice the price
House            43,000,000ptas     90,000,000ptas - Over twice the price
Gasoline                0.52eur/litre    1.25eur/litre - make the beast with two backsing ridiculous
Steak                     15eur/kilo        25eur/kilo - i´ve pretty much given up beef..

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

Bun-bun

Seems like it dropped here now that the holiday is about over. $3.79/ regular, $4.69/diesel.
Luckily, there's a station near me that still sells the high sulfur(off road) diesel for $.20 less than the low sulfur stuff. Since my truck's a '97, it eats that just fine.

Still only gets 16MPG though. :'(

And things will continue in that fashion as long as the EU keeps bringing more countries in.  I moved to Germany (from the UK) just after the Euro came into effect.  All the Germans and French that I knew were livid that the cost of everything doubled overnight (without their wages being raised a pfennig) simply to prop up the economies of the more under-developed countries to the south and east.
