i bought a crimper on fleabay, search for SuperSeal, had to get it from Deutchland.

the correct crimpers from Amp/Tyco will probably run around $200usd, mine from Germany were 30euros+ship. Since they are not specifically made for the amp connector, and will 'fit' a variety of pins i figured i would take a chance. they work fine for building a few connectors at a time, takes a little longer the and you definitiely need to experiment with a few, but i am satisfied with the resualts.

Order is in, I think.  It was kind of a mess dealing with Onlinecomponents.

Mess continues.  The boxes were missing a few components.  Still sorting it all out.

Sorry for the delay.

Little do you know that I'll ask you to return the favor by showing me how to use said crimper and let me perhaps borrow it.......

I think it is holiday induced stupor over there at Online Components that is causing the problem.

I spent some time on the phone with Online Components to try and sort everything out.  I think they have all but shut down for the holidays already.  Hopefully I'll get the order completely filled during the holidays sometime?????

Don't order anything from online components  [bang] [bang] [bang] They can't seem to keep the order straight.  Tonight makes the 4th time I've spoken to them on the phone.

I'm still 3 parts short after 4 deliveries!  I'm still missing the 3 position male fittings, 5 position boots, and the 4 position boots.  The 4 position boots are on permanent b/o and we won't likely ever see those.  Hopefully they will ship the other parts soon.

Hey RB (or anyone really),

Which crimper did you get?  I can't find anything for a crimper by searching "superseal", but if I search AMP crimper I get about 1000 different aviation crimp tools.

Any idea if any of those are correct, or which one might work?  I've tried calling online components (no help), and tyco themselves (no help)

755262-1, this is the part number for the very expensive Amp Crimper that has been superseded and the link doesn't show the new part number.

hope that helps
