" this bike is one of a kind and has the most cutting age chrome coatings on the whole bike."
theres actually merit to that. chrome look isnt easy to get! new stuff has been coming out to put chrome on plastic (obviously it isnt the same process as for metal).
i love chrome. gonna say that bike would look good. but im a sucky for shiny stuff. i LOVED my roadracing aluminum tank m944. wish it was MORe shiny!!

Not a fan of chrome myself... But yeah you can practically buy that shiny stuff in an aerosol can now.

e-bay, not CL, but I couldn't help it. '05 R1200GS for $36k. His primary goal was weight-savings, but he has no idea how much weight he saved after investing $50k. Included in the price is his time for "R&D".

For that price is should have, like, you know, a decal on the gas tank of a bird, or an eagle.

The guy says he spent $50,000.00 making the bike lighter. Then someone sends in a question, "How much weight savings were you able to achieve for $50K. In other words, what does the bike weigh in at now? I did not see it mentioned anywhere."
Then the guy proceeds with a rambling response that includes this little treasure...
"I had thought about the possibility of weighting the bike but just have not done so. I can tell you that the bike feels like a completely different bike."
This seller is simply impressed with himself, and he thinks THAT is what adds value to the bike.

Can you guys cut him a little slack.
He and the bike are in Colorado.
Weed is legal here.
On a side note, I can go check out the bike for whichever one of you wants me to.
