Was the Henderson-Silva match confirmed? I'd heard the UFC wanted Hendo to fight Marquardt in a title eliminator, and Hendo was giving the UFC a hard time over it...

I agree that he's got a good shot at stopping Silva this time.  I think he won the first round before he got in trouble in the second, and I think he could do it again.

Who will he fight next?

I just saw Silva's name come up on another board. That would be a good one!

Belfort has never fought in that weight class... He's always been a light heavy. I'd be interested to see Silva and Belfort match up. It will happen as some point I think, but it might take a little bit. If they are smart, they will let it wait a little bit... that is.

Though Belfort is a UFC vet, he's been out of the UFC circuit a long time. During his in-ring post fight interview he said he was there to work - I'd like to see him in a couple more fights before they unleash Silva and Belfort on each other.

Personally, I'd like to see Machida and Belfort - I think it would be very interesting and same weight class

So does Kimbo get KTFO by Big Country?

Speculation - no spoilers, please.

I really don't know about this one.  I kind of feel like Evans wanted to get rid of Big Country and wants to beat Kimbo early.  I have a feeling that Kimbo wins this one.  Looks like he is in great shape and like he's been learning a lot.

The fight last night sucked!  The big dude could have had the English guy anytime if he would have just pushed it and walked forward.  His punches were landing and hurting the other guy.  Seemed like he was a big pussy and the leg kicks were getting to him.  (not to say that they don't hurt really bad just that he was trying to win a fight).

Also, what is up with Rampage?  Dude you're going to be B.A. I really don't see an acting career in your future.  I think he might be scared to fight Evans.

Big dude didn't have the fortitude to step through a couple punches to push his size advantage early on. Then he gassed hard, All James had to do was stay out of the punches and pick him off. He started destroying that leg early. Not a good fight IMOP, niether fighter showed a lot of gumption.

Kimbo looks like he's in shape... Big Country.... not so much. They showed Kimbo working on some defense which would be more than he had before. If he can slip out and keep it a one diminsional fight he maybe able to hold his own.

Rampage? WTF? He's rematched people who've hammered him in previous fights. He's fought fighters with a lot more intimidation factor than Rashad. I don't understand what he's doing but it's hard to imagine all of a sudden he's scared. If he is scared I'd be prone to thinking he's scared of something more than the physical, maybe he wants to go out a winner and is only going to take fights he knows he can win?

I missed the show, but I've never enjoyed the heavyweights in MMA. They tend to lean mostly on the over weight side. If they get a nice pump in they'll know someone's head off, but they gas too quickly generally.

Yeah, those guys gassed last night about 1 min into the fight!!  Roll Eyes

No, it wasn't discussed until the 23rd page of the thread when you posted fight results that you knew because of time zone differances. Why not until the 23rd page of the thread? Because we didn't have anyone post up results prematurely before then.

Should we click a UFC link just prior to a fight being aired? No. Do some of us use the "lastest posts" feature of the board? Yes. Is posting fights results the day after a fight has aired (aired worldwide) the same as posting fight results before a show has aired ? No.

So quit jumping people's shit that ask for a bit of thoughtfullness before posting up fight results.

Relax, y'all... I now understand that some spoilers may be posted in this thread.  My n00b inattentiveness created conflict, and I apologize.

I have a tough time justifying my watching of TUF in the first place (it's about 5% MMA and 95% reality-tv douchbaggery...), so not knowing the fight outcome helps me wrestle down my own personal demons.  That's all.

I'll probably watch it regardless just to see where Kimbo's skills have reached and to see if Big Country has a gas tank to go along with that gut... 'cuz if you can successfully fight professionally with that body type, you can look for me to be training at Bob Evans.

Wait a minute here.  I'm the one that is supposed to get offended and pissed on this thread. Grin

Lets just call Lesnar a cock chest and be done with it.

I agree about TUF.  I'm about done with it.  After Kimbo fights I might only watch the fight portion of each show.

Used to be TUF heavyweight could come right in and fight.  Now with the class as deep as it is. These guys would get there head knocked off.  I don't get how they come to the show out of shape.  This is their chance to do what they love and then they gas in the first round. Unbelievable!

Relax, y'all... I apologize.

LOL..no need for that whatsoever.

Some just need to pull the hair out of their azz.

Thanks for pointing out it was the 23rd page.  Roll Eyes

Now it's on the title just for y'all.

Anyway, with Rampage supposedly out of UFC..who will Rasheed fight at the end of TUF?

I wonder that too? After the last couple seasons they shoulda shown up ready to get in the cage first day. They shoulda had them fight onto the show same as before. The only reason I can think of for not doing that is a lack of quality heavy weights out there to choose from.
