In San Diego for a work trip.  Just had a late lunch at a place call Neighborhood in the Gaslamp District.

Had a Pliny the Elder - Fantastic, and a Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale - also Fantastic!

Great little bar/restaurant with an awesome collection of beers if you're ever in the area.  waytogo  http://www.neighborhoodsd.com/

look into estrella Damm Daura for a gluten free beer that is made without sorghum, it makes for a less sweet beer.  We have been selling a lot of dry ciders that blow a sweet style cider, like woodchuck out of the water.  Try to find either blackthorn or crispin dry cider or sir perry pear cider.  They are all great and gluten free.  I have been digging on Lagunitas undercover shutdown and avery maharaja!

I prefer the term Cascadian Dark Ale.  Grin

How can you have a Black India Pale Ale? Kind of a contradiction isn't it?

Also American Black Ale by name. But, you are absolutely right, they aren't very pale at all.
