For Easter my wife just gave me 3 Monte Cristo Casino II's.

They look yummy.  Will have one this evening after dinner.

Had a Rocky Patel Edge this evening, I liked it, very different from what I've been smoking this past month.

I've been meaning to pick up some those Casino II's as well.

I usually like to drink single malts and on my toplist is Oban and Ardbeg.
Today after a good diner with a fillet and asparagus a friend served a Makers Mark bourbon, was a bit sceptical at first since i am a single malt guy. Decided to offer one of my Montecristo's no5 to enjoy along to the bourbon.

I know this is very individually but the Bourbon and the Montecristo married really well, and i recommend you to try the two together!

PS
Frank Sinatra live at the Sands 1966 goes extremly well with any cigar ;)

Sinatra definitely goes well with a cigar, always a classy choice.

Through a complete stroke of luck by association, I've been given a bottle of Glenmorangie 25 year single malt.  I don't have the experience to appreciate it properly, but it does go nicely with a cigar.

It's about 3/4 empty now, haha, had a scotch tasting party a few weeks ago and everyone brought a bottle but donated their contributions to my bar for the next tasting round, so I'm up to my ears in scotch.  That bottle came from my friend's boss, a very well off music composer who recently cheated on his wife and now wants to quit drinking.

That evening was dubbed "Scotch-a-cigar-a-palooza".  Everyone brought a few cigars with them as well to put in a communal humidor and everyone just chose what they wanted to try that night.  I recall I had a very nice Punch and a not so exciting Rome y Julieta.

Hehe... your gain his loss, fun story on how you got hold of a single malt only available at "the distillery Taiwan, Japan and selected duty free outlets in Asia"

Did you like the Punch, and which Punch was it? thinking of ordering a few Punch Petit Coronation for myself.

Totally, and I believe he picked it up when he was in Australia (where his mistress lived, btw)

IIRC, it was a Punch Deluxe, I do remember it being a maduro.  I haven't tried the petit coronation, seems they don't sell that one at the store i generally purchase from.  If I come across it though I will check it out.

I am jonesing for some Cubita......!!!

Honestly, anything with the Perdomo label is a good stick.

Not trying to steer you to that particular stick, but all Perdomo's are quality.

I have been lucky enough to attend a Perdomo event where a master roller from Perdomo was there rolling fresh cigars.

The catch was you had to buy like 3 perdomo's and you got a freshly rolled cigar by the master roller.

God damn, that was a good smoke.
Ever had a Lars Teten " Body Shop " made w, pre embargo Cuban Tobacco?

That's like 50 year old CUBAN leaf.

Talk about Smoooooth.

How about Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee ?

I've had the pleasure of enjoying that at MO' Bay ( that's Montego Bay ) in Jamaica.

At one time Blue Mountain was voted " Best Coffee in the World ."

Does Perdomo roll Fuente's Cigars ?

I've got some 15 year old " Opus X s " in one of my Humidors just aging and mellowing along w, some Fuente Hemingways, H. Upmann Robustos, Joya De Nicaragua Viajantes, La Unica 100 Maduro Churchills, Arturo Fuente Don Carlos Robustos, and many more plus one of the 10 year old ones I particularly liked , the Ashton Cabinet Virgin Sun Grown Figurado.

That's quite the collection you have brewing in your humidor, señor eagle.  I wouldn't have the willpower to hang on to those Opus (Opi? Opuses?) for that long.

I don't smoke much anymore but every time I check the humidity, I get an itchy feeling and have to attend to my chores and close up the Humidors and put them back in their " cave" so I'm no longer tempted.

this thread is making me *seriously* hate my current budget constraints  [bang]

the humidor is currently empty. why did I decide to go into business for myself again?

however, last year, we did make it through this:

Lu, you are the only lady I know who enjoys smoking Cigars.

That's very cool !

Sorry to hear your Humidor is bare.

I got into Cigars back about 1993 and the prices were very high through the '90s.

I think I paid $43 a stick for my Lars Tetens " Body Shops ."

Fuente Opus X were mostly in the mid $20s depending on which size a stick. I think they got more expensive to where they were stupid expensive.

I used to buy alot of brands by the box , so I can't remember what some cost per stick.

I've cut down my smoking so much so that I'm still working off what I stocked up on back in the day when I bought from a place called JR' s in the Carolina's I believe.

JR had a huge warehouse but since he discounted he couldn't get certain brands like Arturo Fuente but I used to by boxes of 50 H. Upmann Robustos for about $135 .
