You could do that if you like.

A car that comes from me, though, has a high reliability factor.

I would even paint a pirate flag on the hood for you.

Truth.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I recently sold a Suburban for $2100. I purchased a 1992 Honda Civic for $1500. Crud paint,a dent on it but it has some good bits.
4 brand new michelins, 4 hakapalits on rims for winter, new clutch, brakes, shocks/struts and timing belt. Car was not smoked it.
They are out there. Craigslist. Any car in Wa, Or or Ca will be rust free as long as its not at the coast. We dont salt the roads here in Winter.

i haave been looking, but the problem with california cars, or anything past pittsburgh really, is that i live outside of philly and will have to get it back here. driving that far after having surgery is not going to be a fun thing. plus, i will need to be able to get out there and back in 2 days. (and i can't afford to pay anyone to drive it for me :-\)

worth a try to see what the cost is going for these days.

My cousin was telling me last night his buddy bought some Volvo with 120k mi on it for 1800.

The dealer marked it lower than the 2200$ they wanted because the engine made a weird "pinging" noise.

So my friend Karl took it to his Euro mechanic........changed the oil........ping gone.

His last Volvo finally croaked with 325k mi on it. The engine finally died.

Yeah, if you aren't driving enough then an audi or anything over 3,000$ isn't worth it to you. Not to mention, when Audi's break...........it isn't cheap.

QuoteHello,

I'm SGT Daniel Reyes. My 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX(71,000 miles) is in perfect working condition, this detailed vehicle makes the exterior look like it just came off the assembly line . This is the second time when I try to sell my vehicle...First time I tried eBay because every time I only use 100% safe methods and I've sent the vehicle through the eBay Vehicle Purchase Protection Program to a buyer from Alaska. I paid the shipping and insurance costs and when eBay requested the payment he refused to pay. Why? ... because he agreed to purchase the Vehicle in the first place, but typically didn't have the necessary amount to do so. ...if you don't have the funds available, you can't get the vehicle. For the time being, my vehicle is on eBay's hand and it's ready to be delivered to the next buyer. My price on it is $2,000.
The eBay auction ended last week and the guy from Alaska was the winning bidder. He could not pay for it. I need a new buyer to register to my eBay transaction. I was deployed US military base in training stationed in UK, getting ready for Afghanistan . The vehicle and its documents are in the DAS auto shipping warehouse waiting to be delivered. My wife just gave birth to my forth kid; I need all the money I can get to leave to her. Also, I hope to sell the car before we deploy to Afghanistan . It's fully paid for, fully functional, the title is clean.
Shipping, insurance and eBay fees have been paid since the previous transaction.
I am a member of the eBay buyer protection program and using this service you will get a 15 days testing period after delivery.
The transaction will be made only through eBay. eBay will be the third party that will hold the money till you will receive and inspect the car. If the car meets your expectations and you want to keep it you will have to tell them to release me the payment details so I can get paid. Reply me with your full name and shipping address so eBay can contact you regarding the payment and shipping process.

Let me know your thoughts,

SGT Daniel Reyes

Sounds like you want a reliable beater.

I've got a 1997 Ford Taurus I'd let go for $1000.  Problem is I'm all the way down here in NC...  And it's got 181,000 miles, leaks anti-freeze, squeaks from one of the accessory pulleys, has a dent, most of the lights behind the dash are out... I think that's all...   [laugh]

The other problem I see is that it's a 1997 ford Taurus.

Yea, it wasn't pretty when it left the showroom floor.  However, it's been oddly reliable  ???
