I kinda like the noise. ;D But I also wear electronic muffs and foam plugs to save what is left of my already bad hearing. Won't even take an intown scooter ride without ear plugs. [Dolph]

I've heard that Finland/can comment before but didn't know for sure if it was fact. The last Finn friend I had was on my infamous turkey attack/neck breaking ride to Arkansas in '07 and he left for home shortly thereafter. The subject of suppresors in his homeland never came up.

The Reflex brand is one of the better ones.  The AR suppressor was â,¬30 when I was there in 2004.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

I have a bunch of guns, so I'm probably not the guy to give advice about models and calibers -- I love all of them.  I also have a bunch of oddball calibers lyign around which is a huge PIA when I go to the range..  7.5 french, 6.8 carcano, 7.5 swiss, 7.57 on and on.

But if you "put a gun to my head" i'd want common calibers for everythign.

22 target pistol or rifle.  Even a good 22 pistol is good for small game or defense if needed.  a Ruger Mark II with a bull barrel is easily accurate to 50-100 feet with the iron sights.
9mm pistol.  Glock 19.  It's not pretty, it's not going to sing you to sleep at night, but it holds 17 rounds and you can poop in it and it will still work.
357 wheelgun -- I would definitely pick the Taurus Tracker.  7 rounds of love.
308 -- anything with a remington action and a heavy barrel 20-22".  you can put that action/barrel into a crap stock and still get good performance with good ammo.
shotgun?  any that you can get lots of replacement parts for (not "tactical" shit, stuff that's actually useful like a trigger group, firing pin, etc)  your mossy 590 is going to be nearly indestructible.  pick up a spare trigger group, bolt, pin, and stick them in a baggy in your closet or where you can get them.  if something goes, it's cheap insurance.

You pretty much just described my closet:

22 target pistol AND rifle.  - check and check, 10/22 and taurus tracker 22 and walther p22
9mm pistol.  Glock 19.  - check, gen 3
357 wheelgun --I would definitely pick the Taurus Tracker.  - check, 6" barrel tracker .357
308 - I do not have this yet.
shotgun - check, cheap remmington 870 express

Huge fan of shotgun classes... hmmmm, maybe thats why I ran one for 11 years and took as many as I could from great instructors! [thumbsup] The ultimate weapon and the ultimate misunderstood weapon all in one.

If you are thinking Mossberg 500/590 you cannot go wrong. It's one of many I brands I love. The loading port is cavernous and has nothing in the way ala Remington, Benelli, etc.

Shotguns are like revolvers... they are instantly empty and need reloading. Shooting fast and getting hits is great... as always. But reloading fast is just as important. And without 3 gun competition fast load tube set ups I can reload my Mossbergs faster than any other scattergun by hand. The Ithaca 37 is real close for the same reason.

Clint Smith at Thunder Ranch loved sticking me with hot shots running Benelli M1 Super 90s. I ran my Mossberg Class III 14.5" barrel ghost ring sight 590. I was better and younger back then but I could shoot and hit as fast as them but could load faster with the 590 and would always time them out. The win was for re-loading not shooting. Like baseball you have to be a complete player... catch, throw and hit... shoot, hit and re-load. ;)

I've seen that clip before. Still amazing to watch. I've seen some three gunners handle four shells in one hand and do something similar. Damn cool to see in person. I can't do it... hands aren't big enough. I could safely handle 2 and get it right most of the time.

But she proves my earlier point. Re-loading anything is just as important as hits.

My buddy has 2 of them...I'd get one, but I'm gonna get the 22 adapter for my 85 first.

They're good solid pistols. Compact and all steel. They should fire any ammo, but keep in mind Euro pistols were not designed for hollow points.

$100 is robbery for a transfer IMO. Does he use your gun to steal from you?

Interesting, what do they do with hollow points?  Unreliable or wont feed at all?

For $229, I was going to buy two! Until I saw the fee to tranfer.  I really need to move to a different

state......

Some people report feeding issues. Some have no problem.

It's hard telling on the net. The ones that have trouble might have trouble with an AK.

IMO $329+ shipping is too much for a $250 + shipping gun
