Makes my messed up right shoulder hurt just looking at that picture! ;)
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

For ducks, right?

Hell yeah, if I see someone pull one of those out I am going to duck! [laugh]

Or maybe for this:

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

I'm guessing these guys are a little bit taller than the average IZ_.

Punt Guns were pretty common in my area during the market hunting days.  One of the most interesting ones I saw was an over under with the bottom barrel fired by percussion cap and the top barrel fired by flintlock - both fired at the same time by a single trigger - the thought being that the percussion barrel would sluice a pile of the ducks on the water and the slightly slower ignition of the flintlock would catch some of the survivors during their first wingbeat up off the water.

Question for the RSO's:
I went to a indoor range in the 'burbs today after a meeting.  I had my G17 and 9mm AR SBR.  They told me since I had an AR I needed to shoot on the rifle range (+$7 more than the pistol range).  I pointed out that it was a 9mm with a 5" barrel, to which I was told it's still a "long gun."

I didn't make any more of it, but I was curious what others thought.  None of the other indoor ranges I go to mind that AR on the pistol side.

As there gets to be more rules and bureaucracy, it becomes less and less likely to encounter common sense.  It just isn't allowed any more.  I like the rules at my range - I walk out the back door and shoot.

well, even you describe it as a SBR / short barreled rifle.

in the end, it's their range and their rules. if you don't like 'em, vote with your (seven) dollars and go elsewhere.

Yeah, I get that- I'm a capitalist.

Next time I'll just pull the stock off and call it a pistol. [thumbsup]

SBR is just a legal term.

Put a stock on a Glock pistol and its an SBR by definition.

But it is their range.  They can be ignorant all they want.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

What's the advantage of the SBR?

Maneuverability?

Depends on the system.  A handgun with a rifle style stock is easier to control and more accurate with appropriate training.  For an AR type rifle it is mostly portability and yes manoeuvrability.
