$465 is retail and the rifle is worth every penny of that.

I'd have trouble giving 6 for it.

How much will an FFL in Cali charge for the transfer? Around here about $25 is normal, and the seller ships free.

All of the shops in close proximity to me charge at least a $100 FFL fee, and a lot of times they're hesitant about doing FFLs just because they want the sale of the gun.

I don't know about a surcharge, per se. Well, it's not stated as such but 7 out of 10 guns are marked higher than MSRP!

On top of that, sales tax in LA is 9%. And yes, they charge for background as well as a DROS (Dealer Record of Sale) fee.

The highest I've ever seen posted around here is $50. I don't think they'd charge that if you buy stuff from them on a regular basis.

Like I said most places are $20-30.

they get connected anyway....why not connect them for free and save $100...seems like a no brainer to me....that's what I did when I got my .357 and my Remington Model Four 30.06

Now the milsurp mosin ammo is drying up.  I got two more cases of it from spgd and tried to double the order and was told its all done.

A lot of the arsenal refurbed mosins showed up with canted front sights.  Adjusting the sight fixes most.  In some cases the while assembly has to be relocated.

They took barrels off and most did not go back on the same receiver.  Hence the front sight being out of alignment.

If the sight bead has to be moved too far, then the solution is to remove the pin holding the sight, redrill and remount the pin with the next size.  not unusual, but a pain in the ass.

if it is off in the right direction, you can also remove the barrel and shave the receiver so that it clocks correctly.
