Rough range day today, sometimes they happen. My advice is if you're really running a gun hard, lots of training sessions, it's best to just pack up and go home vs 'hot mopping' a bunch of drills. If you don't get that much range time, then take a break (smoke'em if ya got'em). Then get back after it.  8)

Shilen had their annual swap meet/open house last weekend. Didn't take nearly enough pictures. Lots of bad ass old machinery  [thumbsup]



Watching them drill the barrel was pretty amazing


Each barrel is scoped


This is the machine that rifles the barrel. Takes 30 seconds. The hand written numbers on the lever are twist rates.


I bought a 20" Select Match barrel while there.  Topped it off with a Vortex Razor II 4.5-27x.  This may seem like heresy to some, but this scope is every bit as good as my Schmidt & Bender 5-25  [evil]



Went to a local range to get it sighted in today. 100 yard zero. I'll be taking it to TacPro tomorrow and shooting out to 800.



It seemed to like the Hornady 75gr...


Then I tried 77gr Federal GMM. This is the best group I've ever managed out of an AR.

I usually only shoot 100~150 rounds when I go to the range . . .  Why? Is about the same amount of money . . .I do not lime reloads . . .
