In MD ......  Unless you have a CCW which are as scarce as hens teeth.

you'd be surprised.

(it's all in the phrasing of the application).

It's still buy a flounder a drink month

and talk of 'better' ccw laws in different states is going to get this locked.   It's a motorcycle forum.   debate about gun laws can be found on lots of other forums all over the net.

So if the subject is what is legal or not, state a law, with a valid citation to it, and knock off the editorializing.

on a different note: Jesus, Cyrus, you ask the most newbie questions in some threads and act like rambo in others.   Good to know that anyone who reads the forum knows where to steal a handgun in a month or so...from your glovebox.  [roll]

Please explain why he is clueless?

There is so much I would need to talk to you in person.  ;) Here are a couple.

His deliberate load sequence is terrible. Always mimick your emergency/combat reload. (Both of his suck, by the way)

In his draw steps, he doesn't have you put your finger on the trigger until full presentation. You should be staging the
trigger (removing slack) throughout the presentation.

etc.. etc
Woohoohoohoo! Two personal records! For breath holding and number of sharks shot in the face.

I don't know enough either way to comment but...

Watching the vid I couldn't help the feeling that I was watching a mall ninja that got a hold of a video camera [laugh]

I hope you didn't mistake fastwin or my posts for pointing out "better" CCW laws. Just explaining how it works in our states, down in the warmer, (more cowboy?) end of the US.  8)  ;D

if it matters

that's how it read to me (an explanation I mean, not one state is better than another)

that being said

I'm off all week next week and plan to throw some lead down range :)

Yeah, I deleted a long post that dicussed laws in TX that seemed much more favorable than other states then deleted the shit out of it after I saw that post. Meant no harm whatsoever. Used what little sense I have left and thought better to delete it. Don't want to f#@k up a seemingly nice thread that I started over doing something that treads too close to violation. Minding my business here. [thumbsup] Shaking that bush boss. [laugh]

It's a motorcycle forum for sure but this is a no moto content section. Absolutely no dis-respect at all to the admins but sometimes we plebeians need your guidance to the rules. The warnings are good and appreciated but an explanation of what we did wrong would be a good thing. Some times I see it spelled out, some times not. If I'm into trout fishing and I discuss laws in other states on a trout fishing thread and disagree with them do I get in trouble over that? Just a rhetorical question. Just want to be heads up on not screwing up. Hope this is taken the right way. You guys rock. Just don't want to screw a thread by mistake. PM me if you feel that's appropriate. Thanks guys!! [thumbsup]

Here's my take on your question.

Laws are legislation. They are fact. We don't have a rule about stating fact.

They, however, are fabricated by politicians and discussion of the law is in effect discussion of politics.

We don't do politics...gun politics...fishing politics...doesn't matter.

Does that answer your question?

Crikey.  I wrote a bunch of stuff then I deleted it for the sake of fastwin's thread.

I guess I'll PM Statler (the mod) about any further discussion about MD CCW.  Just had some questions, but now I'm skeered.  [thumbsup]
996 forks, BoomTubes, frame sliders, CRG bar-end mirrors, vizitech integrated tail light, rizoma front turn signals, rizoma grips, cycle cat multistrada clip ons, pantah belt covers - more to come

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary. H. L. Mencken

So funny Nate.

Isn't name calling a board violation?

I believe it is, but I'll let it slide with you.

My posts are all done for self gratification and to fuel my ego. Remember, you diagnosed me with that.

Yeah, I guess it's best just to always use the 10 foot pole rule. "I wouldn't touch that with a 10 ft pole" kinda thing. But sometimes an Admin says stating a law is OK and yet you are saying that is in effect inviting discussion of politics. I'm still going with the 10 ft pole thing. But hopefully you can see how it gets a little IZ_ if you mention a law and folks start talking about that law. So you shouldn't even mention that the law exists out of concerns it will be discussed?

Just trying to stay out of trouble on future threads. This will be the end of this for me, won't bring it up again in public.

Anyway, thank you for the answer. Appreciate it. [thumbsup] Back to gun stuff...

I'm trying to change the stock out on my Rem 870 express back to the stock one (for skeet shooting), but can't remember how I put the new one on!

I knocked out the two pins by the chamber, just need to figure out how to remove that piece.

I think I need to watch you tube again on disassembling the gun.
