For those interested, I am thinking about heading up to Ouray/Silverton/Telluride area on Saturday for an over night.  I am thinking about heading out early Saturday, staying in Ouray...maybe dinner in Telluride? Head back Sunday after breakfast in Silverton....

 [moto]

Well, I'll be heading to Colorado but a little more east than that.  I found out my friends in Utah are out for the weekend (Las Vegas), so I've reversed my route.  I'll be heading up through Alamosa to a Sat night stay at Great Sand Dunes NP.  Then it's on to Black Canyon near Montrose, then Flaming Gorge, then Tetons and Yellostone.  The return trip down through Salt Lake City by next weekend.  Hope to be on the road by 9 AM Saturday.  Y'all have fun playing around in the local sandlot.  Keep an eye out for this guy, too  Police.  Ride hard.  Ride safe.  And above all  [moto] [moto] [moto] waytogo  Bring the  bacon home safe.  That's my plan, anyway.

Ride safe, Kawboy, and check in once in awhile with updates of your trip.  Remember, no pictures, it never happened.  Hit the curves hard!   Cool

The rest of you gangsta's, tear up the Crest like I know you will.  I found out last night that I finally get to go back on dayshift starting this Wednesday so Sunday rides will no longer be out of the question.   Grin  Ahhhhh,  church and soccer back in my life.  Things are looking up!

Well, we didn't get to hit the crest like we had hoped.  But Kingababy and I were joined for breakfast by Hunkypunk, DucMouse, Razgriz, Ratfink and Marcus where DucMouse quickly warmed up to Mr. Bacon.

She also made her acquaintance with Monsieur Tofu (kind of looks like her conscience, doesn't it)

Once again, the weather gods don't give a crap if we get a group ride in.  So, lets try this again.  DDGM, Dusty & I are headed to the Jamez tomorrow. Meeting at the gas station across the street from Sandia casino on Tramway 9am ready to ride.  Bonfy is doing her last night shift, so weather permiting, she will head north later in the day & try to hook up.  Hope everyone can make it.  Bring your Duc feathers.

Maybe the hotdog is checkin out the bacon?   bacon  Had a fun morning, Good seeing everyone again.  Doubt I'll make it tomorrow, Its going to be a late long night and I'm not sure the AM hours are going to be good to me tomorrow.  Lips Sealed   coffee

 applause

All these food items cropping up are making me crave a vegemite sandwich.   bacon

I'll do the Jemez in reverse tomorrow so maybe when you guys stop for lunch (if you do), I can find you, then proceed onward or back south depending on the weather.   I've never done the Jemez in reverse, it'll be interesting for Lance to see where we're going instead of where we've been.  laughingdp  No, actually, it might be fun to climb the twisties through there for a change rather than dropping down out of them.

At least it's not a ferrivite samich! We will call you when we get to San Isidro (weather pemitting) and let you know our progression and where to meet.  I know you will be getting that "not needed" beauty sleep so we will leave a message.  Grin

Since weather made me abandon my customary Crest ride I'm looking forward to an H2O low or free ride tomorrow.
I'll check the weather tomorrow A.M. to see whether a Jemez or a Crest ride is the more sensible thing to do.

Was great to run into Kingbaby during my Crest rides this morning, truely enjoyed the company waytogo
You might hear about a crash that happened during my third run.
Looks like a group of young riders on Japanese sports bikes and dressed in fabric were riding together when one layed his bike down. He was already on the stretcher when I came by and all I could see was a knee that was badly scraped. It looked like a low speed event and I hope he is ok. Me and an other guy escorted the ambulance down the mountain. Cry
