Riding to denver this weekend.  Up through Ouray and on to aspen then breckenridge friday after work.... hit denver/longmont the next day, then ride back down.  Maybee 25 through springs if Bonfy would like to have a beer, then across wolf creek back to farmington.

I'll be sure to let you all know how 550 looks north of durango.  It's gettin to be that time...  [moto]

Punx, I just got back from Oklahoma last night so I didn't see your post.  Let's get together, for sure, and if you need a place to stay, you are welcome to crash here.  I will pm you my number.  Hope you see this in time.  I work both Friday and Saturday night, but I don't go in till 10PM.

I won't be out this weekend. Keri just got back from Austria. I'll be working tomorrow and helping me brother reassemble his 68 GMC Sunday. Any other free second I have will be spent with her. I haven't seen her in almost 2 weeks. Gotta catch up. And no... She did not bring me a red and silver German made monster. But she's home safe and sound an I couldn't be happier!

Hope your ride is going well so far.  I'll have the phone on so call when you come through if you're still planning a stop in the Springs.  I will ride with you for awhile when you head out for Wolf Creek Pass.   waytogo

When and where?  I just got back from Edmonton (been there since Wednesday) and I'm ready for a few miles.

Punx just made his appearance and is already underway.  It is storming here again but looked a little clearer to the south, the direction that he headed off.  He is planning to make it to Cortez tonight.  That's alot of riding.  Godspeed and safe riding!

Correction: Aztec.  And by god I made it.  About 11:30 when I stumbled through the door.

Thanks for lunch Bonfy! next one's on me.

Also, I had texted anyone I had numbers for about this already but, here's my report on the ride between durango and Ouray:

make the beast with two backsING AWESOME! Lots of tar snakes coming up from durango to about half way up the first pass... after that, smooth new pavement.  Not new since last season, but it's just as good as new and the local drivers are used to it so they don't cut the turns and throw gravel onto the road now.  Great riding.  Ouray is going to be a blast.

Well, by god, I knew it had something to do with the fountain of youth, Mayans, Cortez, Aztec, something like that.  Hey, did you realize that funnel clouds were all over the place when you came through Denver.  I saw it later on the news and they said the sirens were going off.  And there you were riding through the hail and rain like it was just another day in the life of Punx Clever.   bow down  It was great seeing you.  Glad you made it home safely.  You must have been flying since you left here around 5 I think.
