Crest road has just a few spots with gravel so please be careful. But the rest is clear an smooth, bought a new front tire an scrubbed it in on the crest an S14.

Weather up north at this point does not look promising for the afternoon ride home with out getting soaked in a downpour so I am canceling Taos and Northern NM. Probably an early crest run is in order.
What time?

I left SF at 7:30 for high road ride. I'm in Chimayo now, so no probs for me, but for sure a good choice for you guys in Abq. No question rain is going to hit.

Enjoy your "Toodle" mouse & crew.

I did a run Friday...  I know I am a beemer rider now and I deserve the suck...

Really, I just work every other Saturday night and my weekends are basically Wednesday.  I think the Duc group is an awesome and friendly family and I wish my days off would let me ride more with y'all.

Anyway...  Took the road to Madrid Friday and got rained on all the way to Santa Fe and halfway back.  First overtaking a car on the freeway at 90 with a 60 mph crosswind was hairy (still a little chicken shit after the crash...) but all was well and I was dry by the time I hit ABQ city limits.

Pics.

I don't know why I love riding in the rain... but I do.

Unfortunately for me, the Crest road opened up the next day and I had to work.  Stupid work...

I hit that rain Friday night on N 14 as well, and got the wind on the way home on I25 and it was a lot of work just getting home!  Huh?

Got in a great ride up to the crest with Nick...the road was a little broken up in spots, but not too bad. A little bit of traffic, too.

Funny... I turned up the crest on my way home from work this afternoon and it was solid cars both directions.  I turned back after the first few corners.  Try again tomorrow.

I will catch you all again one day, but for now I'm a working stiff.
