I had a Sam Adams Festwig Ale with dinner.

Probably going to grap a Dogfish Head 60 min IPA soon.

So, you're not alone.   chug   drink

SO I got all domestic tonight and deciced to make a buncha quiches and shit -creme brulee and stuff.  The tarts and quiches were yummy but I opened a bottle of cremant de bourgogne to go with the quiches and now I am too damn ddrunk to get up adn carmelize sugar on the creme bulees plus I shouldn't be playing with blowtorches in my current state.  Sucks because a creme brulee would be divine right now.  Plus I keep burping.  So ladylike.

Alright. Ratebeer is still down so I gotta leave my comments somewhere until they come back. Figures too. I'm 6 brews short of 100 reviews since I joined last November.

Last night - new brew for me. Rogue Dead Guy Ale.

Awesome deep translucent amber color that was almost pearlesent. Big fluffy, merange like butterscotch head that unfortunately disapeared quickly. Aroma of sweet hops. Crisp and dry on the palate with a nice bitter hop aftertaste that didnt linger longer than necessary. Malt undertones are welcome presence. No trace of grassyness like you get with an overhopped ale or IPA. This is one very well balanced ale. One of the best i've had in a long time. A pleasant surprise for me, as I have avoided buying it for the longest time. I've often dissmissed Rogue brews just because the  bottles and beer names seemed too gimmicky. I glad I was wrong.

^^^^

I have a recipe for Gran Mariner Creme Brulee that is outta this world. You can find it on Bon Appitites website.

I know I'm supposed to be on a diet and I know I'm probably not doing my liver any favors, but I really need another  Vino!

...so I'm gonna get one!

I have a picture of that bottle in the front cage, but it was really shakey  in there, so I used the cooler. (note the beer mug cycling socks. Those are the ones with the Ben Franklin quote embroidered on the soles about how god loves us because he gave us beer)

I gotta get a another pic, but with the beer in my 1 litre stein.
