As a spectator, watching Nick Lidstrom play for two decades has been wonderful. Meeting Gordie Howe and Ted Lindsay was pretty wonderful. Terrible Ted is one of my personal heroes. Most of the "celebs" I've interacted with have been academics (Howard Zinn, Noam Chomsky, James Loewen, etc)

I've met a bunch of hockey players and underground musicians (punk/hardcore/metal), but no current "superstars." I used to be pretty active in b-horror movie culture and met a lot of horror and grindhouse actors/directors. Alex Vincent (the little kid from the first Child's Play movie) wanted to beat me up in a karaoke bar once. That was good times. Gunnar Hansen (the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre's Leatherface) was one of the nicest people I've ever been around. I was able to get Jeremy Bulloch to autograph my Boba Fett helmet.  [thumbsup]

If you love 2 people at the same time, choose the 2nd one. Because if you really loved the 1st one, you wouldn't have fallen for the 2nd....

One's past is what one is. It is the only way by which people should be judged.

One cannot and must not try to erase the past merely because it does not fit the present.

I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

I forgot to mention, I rode up to the gate of Arnold Schwarzenegger's Mansion here in Ohio on my bike , lifted up my Visor , looked into the Camera and said ..." I'll be Back ! " ...then rode away.

Yes Arnold owns a very nice BIG place in Ohio....or did at the time.

I saw the southern lights and a lunar eclipse on the same night in the middle of winter in Antarctica.  Never met anyone famous though.

I shared a cab with Carly Simon a few years back, riding in the rain from times sq to ues.

I saw Monica Lewinsky in Bed Bath and Beyond right after the bj controversy.  I wanted to ask her if she was looking for stain remover.

About 10 years ago, I was sitting on w 40th or so at a bistro and Al Franken walks by -- I yelled "Hey Al, is it still the Al Franken Year?"

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Saw Andie McDowell at the airport as my now wife and I were on our way to elope in Antigua.......she gave me a smoldering stare......could have been disgust, I'm not sure.

Clint Eastwood held the door for my wife at The Hogs Breath Inn in Carmel, CA.  He gave my wife a serious up/down!  Her feet didn't touch the ground for the rest of the evening.

Grew up working in the home of Walter Ridder from Knight/Ridder newspapers......they had a great Christmas party every year.  Also worked in the houses of local newsmen Marvin and Bernard Kalb and Daniel Schorr.

I considered the late General William Odom, former head of some large government agencies a good friend and client, in that order.

It was probably only -20F or -30F which was about average for the winter in McMurdo station.  August was the coldest month which averaged about -40F.  That's when the big hurricane blizzards blew up and wind chill could get down to -100F and send anything not tied down to Oz.

Pete Townsend once wrote me a fan letter.

Met Frank Zappa (I was a huge fan and he was, unfortunately, a dick)

I personally delivered some floppy disks to Niel Young.

I once talked to John Paul Jones (tech support call)

Met Thomas Dolby at some dot-com party a decade ago he called me "one of the gods of music software"

Back in my youth I wrote electronic music software until I realized I was combining a programmer's salary (  ;D ) with a musician's salary ( :'( )

The only person of note I've met since then was Bill Gates (at a 'new hires' meet and greet at Microsoft) and frankly he was a lot less cool than the folks I met in the music industry.

I own several motorcycles. I have owned lots of motorcycles. And have bolted and/or modified lots of crap to said motorcycles...
