It is not made well or smart.  The idea is great as I don't have anything in the rear to strap most tail packs to.  The lack of thought into the design and the longevity of the seams is pathetic at best.

I think I am gonna give it back and buy two SWMotech click loc tank bags.  One large for two nights out and one small for day tripping.

Have you looked into RKA tailbags? I used the 18L one for a long time, and they're great bags. Their mounting system is nice too...just need a seat.  [thumbsup] Made in CA as well.

Let us know how those 1730's perform Seanster...I like that low profile, no more tank squash.

It's super small...well just imagine your RU-1750 with only half the length of the filter section...
for my application I have to cut the flange down by approximately 29mm to fit.  some pics (cuz we all love love love pics)  [laugh]

2001 Supersport 900 Yellow!!! (she's just so much fun)
2000 Monster 750 Carb Dark!!! (Sold and still full of regrets)

I had RKA stuff on my F2 and loved it.  One of the problems with most of the tail bags is that I have stripped the passenger pegs and the rear fender from the bike.  With the shape of the seat pan it is nearly impossible to run straps under the seat.  I also tire of throwing my leg over the top of the bag.  When extended the DP tail pack is so tall I had to tap into my inner Bruce Lee to toss a leg over.

Oh and the seams I was worried about?  Are all pulled a bit, even the carry handle.  Luckily I have a great dealer and a replacement bag for this one is back ordered and they offered to let me exchange it out for something else.  Thanks A&S Power Sports!

Took The DP tail bag back, not a well made item IMO and it came with a defect that made it work through a weekend but was clearly not good long term.  So I swapped it out tonight for some SW Motech stuff.  An electric click-loc tank bag for day tripping and a Slipstream tail bag for road trips.

To top that all off I got a quick sit on the 2014 Monster 1200.   It looks like a great "one bike does it all" bike.  Carve some back roads, commute to work or go on a long tour.  DNA rep mentioned hard bags are in the works for it.

Still gonna keep my AC monster and maybe look at a Multi for next year.

This for more camera mount options:

This for a dedicated riding backpack so I don't have to switch everything in and out of my work one:

It's just big enough for day ride necessities:

Its got an expanding area, just for putting a helmet in for storage/security/convenience: (it's also being 'inspected' by Pablo)

^^^ My Duck has made me her pregnant dog.  Every time I hit the shower she slides up behind me and slips my wallet out of my pocket.  I am a ho to Monsterparts/Motowheels.

At least I am to the point all I have left is some very expensive wheels and a litter color here and there.... [drink]
