Both the 900 and 1000 are injected - so that's off the comparison list.

ok so one lastthing before i go off looking at the bikes

what do the three diffrent keys do? ther are two black and one red correct? whats the point in three?

The Mad King Pepe'

you need the red one if the ecu goes cuckoo.
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.

KTMracerx009

ok so really only need a 1 red and one black then

The Mad King Pepe'

I think the bikes come with 2 black and 1 red. But there's nothing special about the black ones and if you lose them you can use the red one to make a copy.

ok good to know,
he said he has two keys, i asked which two...waiting on his response

Yeah - if it's an ECU bike and there is no red key forget it. You get get a new one but it's hella expensive. I believe they make you get a new ECU.

If you're talking about the 900, then I'm not sure it has/needs the red key. The 1000, I'm fairly sure it does (have/need the red key).

Yes the 900 being discussed was pre immobilizer. It's a 2000. I didn't write all 900s. There was a page or two discussing two particular bikes he was looking at. I was only commenting on the bikes being looked over
