What about Texas in 2005? Espn was running comparisons before the game trying to determine where USC ranked among the greatest teams of all time. How'd that turn out for 'em?

Bama already had their shot. They're not even a conference champ! Funny that Saban said back in '03 that someone who didn't win their conference had no business in an NC game. His tune has suddenly changed this season 
and say bama does beat LSU? How do they truly earn an NC when they lost to the same damn team earlier in the season? And a team that had to beat a faaar superior schedule to get there, at that.
OSU should get their shot. But won't.

Good for him and the team.  Going to be interesting how they do next year without him, but... I have a feeling they will prevail.  Coach Peterson has done an incredible job.
