I don't think that the amount (or really the lack of) of games suspended for these players has anything at all to do with how hard the University will get hit.  In fact, the NCAA found more players than originally thought.  With the baseball program being on probabtion the school will get hit with the repeat offender tag which means there is no statute of limitations on how far the NCAA can go back. I would say no death penalty but Miami will almost certainly be getting lack of institutional control. Also the victims of the ponsey scheme are now suing Shapiro so those 72 players he mentioned have been subpoenaed by the courts which is bad news since they will have to talk instead of being able to say no to just the NCAA.

But just to be clear- the NCAA is full of shit right?  These players took money from a known big time booster and owner of a sports agency and most are getting one game suspensions while the OSU players traded their own property for tattoos and AJ Green sold a jeresy and got 5 games.  How in the make the beast with two backs does that make sense?

I'm actually happy that most of these players are playing.  After thinking about it the better Miami is the better OSU will have to be.  I don't want to be a "fake" 4-0 by playing creampuffs before we hit the Big Ten schedule.  In fact, I think Miami might be worse off with Harris playing anyways.

I agree. I really don't see why the OSU players couldn't sell or trade their property.

Hook Em Horns! LOL They have singlehandedly managed to alienate almost every other team in the Big IX with the whole "Longhorns Network" debacle. I hope they enjoy living in their cardboard fort as it colapses around em.

Still rootin' for the California Golden Bears, but it will be an interesting year.  1) Not playing in Berzerkeley this year b/c Memorial Stadium in under a major renovation. 2) Another QB?  Just cannot get any traction with good consistency. 3)  No more Pac-10, it's now the Pac-12.  4)  Our most hated rival, Stanfurd, is highly ranked and their QB is a high Heisman candidate.  5) Oregon Ducks played in last year's BCS championship and will surely give us trouble again.  6) saw one horrible ranking that has us finishing near the bottom of the conference, really?  and the list goes on and on,  but

I got my tickets for this Saturday's game vs. Fresno State at San Francisco's cold and windy Candlestick Park (home to the SF 49ers).  Go Bears!

P.S.  I was reading Sports Illustrated and either I'm going insane, cannot read clearly, or both, but I read that the Big Ten conference actually has 12 teams and the Big 12 conference has 10?  I realize that there was some movement last year, but can't someone count?  The Pac-10 added two teams and is now called the Pac-12.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but am I missing something?

yes, they did look unprepared.  Unusual for a Chip Kelly team.  Then again, playing the SEC can do that to you.

And Michigan pulls off a great comeback upset but still shows that it's offense only works well when you let Denard do what he did last year and the defense still shows gaping holes and a lot of inexperience. I mean man to man Floyd when he literally burns the man to man coverage every time they go to him and gets shut down when you throw a floating back on him to supplement the man to man...? Really? Come on...Brady...you're a defense guy. You know this but you still let Floyd have  an outstanding game.
