I guess you can run lights for the night track.

Ya, I was watching videos from last year and you couldn't see the bikes that had no tail lights. This Sat is their last track night, so I think I'll try

I'm contemplating this one. Only problem is I have touring tires on my bike and while they work great on the street I'm not sure I want to use them on the track.

What kind of tires? I used Road smarts and they worked.

I don't want it looming over my head, so I will say no.
Seriously though, it depends on the life of them, how hard you push it, etc. My dunlops had a 100 miles and were soft, but I have the same tire that's five years old and pretty hard and getting ready to crack. You could always get sport tires and just swap them for the track day and swap them back afterwards.

Yeah - the looming part is the problem. Going into a turn thinking "can I lean it this hard?" is not what you want to be thinking while doing 130mph...
I have though about buying some sport tires and swapping them for the day but then I'm looking at a $400 track day ($250 for tires, $100 for the track, $50 for the mounting/balancing) and it gets hard to justify. Decisions...

130 mph in turns? You're a monster. I thought the same thing about buying tires, but knew that the tires I had now were getting ready to split, so I bought tires that I would use on the street as well. I've only done one track day with them and they still look great, so once the old ones are done, I'll just switch them back over. About the tire changing, you should look around. At Temecula motorsports, they charge $30-which I can live with. Cyclegear is $40. Every little bit makes a difference in the end.

Turn 8 at big willow is the only place I have EVER done! The last time I took my monster out I was nowhere near that speed...that was on my old track bike.
Regarding the tire change, Pro Italia charges $20 or $25 per wheel...the prices you are quoting are for the set?
