http://honolulu.craigslist.org/oah/mcy/2517254716.html

I suppose this could have gone in the CL thread, but I figured this would garner more traffic.

:edit: blarg.  bailed on this one.  Sad

2006 with immobilizer and just one black key? 29,000 miles and no service history? I'd say $2k, $2.5K tops. It's not the miles. Heck, the guy that bought my old Monster has 28.5K on in now. It's that key thing and you just know it's in need of at least $500.00 maintenance just to bring it up to snuff. My $0.02.

BTW, nice to see you interested in getting back to riding.  waytogo  The back must be feeling better..

yeah, my main concern is the key/service thing. I'm assuming it'll need new cam belts right off the bat.

also curious about why he let safety lapse.

I do miss being on a bike. back's not 100%, and I doubt it ever will be, which is why I'm looking at a multi vs. another monster

As long as you are looking at something along the lines of a Multistrada I can highly recommend something like this, although not a Duc.

You could make a lowball offer. You never can tell what might work. Our shop did that twice and we now have two bikes to show for it. These models don't have the normal BMW super high saddle height but it still might stretch you a bit. I think it's comparable to the Multi. You are always welcome to come by the shop and see how it fits you.

Not anything that I personally own but if push comes to shove I can score a truck & a trailer.  If Anne has these things then I can contribute a body. For what it's worth.  Grin

Or you could just ride dirty back to your place and I could give you a ride over to get it.  Grin
