I simply ask because they will certainly use that as some of a measuring stick to test the temperature of that water a bit....

If all the people in this thread put the $ where their mouth is, it should be a success.   Grin

I wish it was a year sooner, I am in the market, and I would consider it.

I won't put my money on an Chevisuzu S10/Colorado because I am just.....well....I'll shut my mouth from going any further on that....but if the VW Amorok came here, I'd be the 1st in our dealership totally putting a downpayment on one...

I shall wait to see power numbers and MPG ratings before dropping my tacoma like a sack of rocks. Maybe toyota will actually *gasp* update the tacoma with this new competition......probably not judging from their "redesigned" tundra.

I'd like to get my hands on a left-hand steer Land Rover Defender with its little 2.2 Diesel.  I really like the powerplant of my Jeep Liberty Diesel, but everything else, the detuning of the motor to protect the transmission, the pollution control inefficiencies, crappy seats, etc are a little frustrating.  By the time I get all the bugs worked out of it, I'll have quarter million miles on it.

Who makes that LR diesel motor?

Didn't they steal the 2.2 l design from a competitor?

From what I can tell, the new 2.2 td engine Land Rover is using is a Ford Duratorq.  Anyone know better?

190 hp.. 317 ft lb torque.. not bad.

They're not going to offer the diesel version until 2016? Sheesh, give me a break.
Looks like I might be driving a Dodge Ram 1500 EcoDiesel by then
