shame the new 150s are freaking huge.  it seems those trucks have just inflated over time.  today's F150 is as big as a 15 year old F250...

I had an 86 Ford Ranger diesel.  It was tiny compared to the later Ranger models, but it fit the bill for light truck use.  Two motorcycles and tow a trailer with two more.

Then again, I liked the El Camino.  Just enough truck.  I don't need a huge air hauler.

These guys sell them as fast as they get them, but it's worth a bookmark.

I'll be surprised if this hasn't already been posted here, but I'm too lazy to look for it.

So just in case it hasn't been discussed, you could always roll your own...

Pretty sure it was, but considering you won't be able to use a TDI model, doesn't really fit the description of this thread anymore...

Yeah, I miss my old Ranchero.

Wish someone would make a 2-door car/truck again (AWD would be the icing on the cake), I have no need for another full size pickup....

Aussie style El Caminos. Very popular here, but no longer built here as GM and Ford shut down in Oz. Who knows you guys may get them if GM and Ford take the designs back with them.

Another one from Subaru, this does not appear to be AWD.
