Stew, let me know which week we are planning on so I know which to ask for off.
I, too, can only afford one trip.  [beer]

maybe I'll make it a cross country road trip

At this point, I'm leaning towards the BUB event as it is ONLY motorcycles and motorcycle streamliners.

(subject to change, but doubtful)

I'll be in Bonneville August 10-16th for the SCTA event.  Plan accordingly.  [thumbsup]

Also, I managed to score some 45mm clip-ons for the GSXR600 front-end.  When they arrive, pics will be posted w/me on the bike to determine maximum aerodynamic effeciency.  (Or as close as I can get...)

how tall are you and how much do you weigh?

by the way, if needed I have an 848 showa rear shock

Duck-Stew

5'9" & ~160 lbs...

848 rear shock is about 2.5" too long w/the lowered chassis...

Cool.  Per our previously discussed arrangement, you can ride the bike...

As far as the rear shock goes, I'm probably in the shock height range of a Suzuki TL1000R (but w/o the rotary damper crap).  I'm leaning towards a Hagon as they're good quality and ~$400-$450 new.

Suzuki TLR shocks are 9.38" eye-to-eye and are direct acting which is what I have on my chassis now (no suspension link).

Quentin is good people. I will vouch for him. He stayed with us at Ouray and he only tried to steal my virginity 3 or 4 times.
