Just a random pic with little editing. But my baber's Ducati panigale makes me jealous sometimes.

I blame this shit on Buck Naked.....I've been overcome by the bug again.

Working with Randy at StradaFab for some more titanium goodies, trying to find some rare pieces of carbon fiber and finally using shit that's been sitting around my place....

Let to good times begin again!!

Anyone know what I need to do to get a pair of monoblock calipers to work with my Showa forks fitted for radial brake calipers. Do I simply need to find new bottoms to fit the monoblocks or is it a bit more complicated than that?

Chatted with Matt at MotoWheels and the S&P's they sell are for Ohlins forks only and I don't have that kind of coin to drop on forks + whatever else I will need.

Thinking about going with 1098 forks, axle and 5mm spacers. I'd need a new top triple and to shim the slower as well. So cash to spend and think about again.

Why could this shit be inexpensive......

The brakes you've got are perfectly serviceable, in fact, I think the 4-pads are the best in this application.

Thanks Speeddog -

Is there any advantage for going with the monoblocks? I've found the 4 pads to be great for street use and riding 2up. Just wondering if I can put these monoblocks to good use. Every time I look at them I feel like I should just put them up for sale since I'm not using them because the cost benefit is always steep for making the upgrade. I've already abandoned the idea of the S4RS forks.....

I've got a 16mm goldline master, 4-pad calipers, BrakeTech iron rotors and CP-211 pads on my S4.
I've never felt like I needed more brake.

I've got a 13mm big-pivot master and a half-set of the above, on my M750.
Lever is a bit softer than on the S4, hasn't bothered me enough to track down why.

Nothing wrong with the Monoblocks, but like you said, lots of $ and effort to convert.

SBK forks are nicer, so there's that.
I forget what's been done to your forks, so perhaps they're already nicer than SBK.
If you've not done anything to the internals, there's room for improvement there.
SBK cartridges can be made to fit your S4R forks as well.
