i dyed my gray polymer parts black... it was pretty easy.

I also got a sweet nylon black ARMY motorcycle jacket for Xmas. One sleeve is digi-camo and looks odd to me, so I'm going to attempt to dye that black. I'll let you know how it goes.

Has anyone made own holders (rear sets) for the fotpegs and muffler ?

Im thinking about doin my own with stainless steel iron rods instead for the aluminium ones.

Need some input  :)

Stock clutch cover, cut and painted.  Removed the gasket and then used washers as spacers between the cover and the case.



Exhaust Hanger.  Metal tube.  Cut to length, flatten the ends and drill holes for bolts.



Occasionally AFM #702  My stuff:  The M1000SS, a mashed r6, Vino 125, the Blonde, some rugrats, yuppie cage, child molester van, bourbon.

That tank and airbrush looks sweet! Really like the Monstra on the back. Where did you get the tank?

Its verry hard work.


If you pull to hard on the fibre you will stretch it to hard and the pattern wil disapear.


I made it from 1 single piese of fibre.
Then 8 layers of hardner.

Sanding about 6 hours!! :(

Then 6 layers of clearcoat.

Custom airbrush

Again 4 layers clearcoat.



Only problem is that carbonfibre contains oxygen.

With the harder you will see little holes in the toplayer.
I have that problem now.

It must harden for some weeks and then again sanding.
Last 5 layers of clearcoat and the tank is 100% finished.


If you buy it its to ugly.

The fibre are al small pieces and you can see that.
This is the original:



Because i have 1 piese i dont have the little squares in the tank.

Its a lot of work , but it will save you about â,¬1250,- thats   $1760.-  !!!!!
Here they cost â,¬2500,- ($3521.-)

I did the same thing with an old 900ss oil cooler on an '01 M900.

It turns out the aluminum gets really brittle after about 15 years. Be warned, it may spring a leak  :P

Just did a temporary wrap on my forks using a 1" wide vinyl. Also, pulled off the extra oil cooler plastic air duct, and re adjusted my Tall boy clip ons.

A123 LiFePo battery.  I bought the cells off ebay, and put them into a holder made by a guy locally.

Then I cleaned up the starter wiring, with 4ga cable.

Easy way to lose a few kilograms.  The stock battery is full of lead!

You may want to do a write up on this in the tutorials. I am interested in making a pack for my self, but would really like some more info and history. Pros and cons.

P.S. it looks awesome. What did you wrap the cables with?
08' S2R 1K   That was close  damn near lost a $400 hand cart.
