Can't find video...but Kent got abused by Antonelli.

Kinda, but I disagree with "abused" adjective.  First time I saw replay I thought it was a typical "racing incident": Kent passed on outside but was just ahead when Antonelli lifted up and clipped his rear.  So I thought it was Kent getting a little aggressive and fate stepping in capriciously.  Subsequent replays weren't great, but it appears that Antonelli should have been able to avoid contact, but still, it was an aggressive move and part of what makes Moto3 so much Moto3-y.

Anyway, my $0.02.  Helluva hide side, though, as your pic shows.

You really need to see the race...not just the replay of the incident.

All those guys are aggressive, and that's what makes it so much fun to watch. I think Antonelli was out of control. He started way back on the grid, and there was plenty of time for him to achieve whatever he could, but he wanted to win the race on that corner.

Bastianini wasn't pleased either.

Just another perspective.

The issue with the Ducks has never been fuel efficiency, in fact it'seems been the power eating the rear. I doubt that will change next year regardless of fuel allowance.

Fuel has never been the problem. The front end has always been the problem.

I wonder if the extra wings helped, is he just getting used to the bike or was it the track?

I watched it live (well, "live" via motogp.com 12 hrs after the actual race), and I had thought Kent was riding aggressively there, too.  He had gone wide after his rear was clipped by Bagnaia two laps before, knocking Kent from 2nd to 16th.  Then Kent ran back up to 6th-or-so when the Antonelli crash occurred.  He was behind Antonelli and took the turn wide and passed on the outside---could be Antonelli didn't see him until it was too late.  Replay seems to show Antonelli picking up early---maybe Kent's presence on the outside made him nervous.  In any case, I think Kent was riding aggressive as he was trying to make up for lost positioning after the Bagnaia incident, but in the end, as I said, racing incident.

But yeah, all of them are super aggressive, which is why it is so much fun to watch!  I guess some of that aggro even spilled over into motogp this race. ;D

Pic of the damage...you can see it on the TIM logo on the right side

And Marquez is there at full lean, one handed, messing with a tear-off? Jeepers.

Probably updating his Twitter feed in the straights...

^Haha.  Nice.  There is a great quote for him on motogp.com about having overheated tires on the last three laps and trying to cool them and it not working so he basically said f@*& it, I'm just gonna go all out anyway.  If I heard the announcers correctly, Marquez's last lap was the fastest of the race by anyone and he picked up a full second on Lorenzo!   :o  Taking "alien" to a new level.

Some more stills that capture the weekend:

Damn, hadn't noticed that.  [bow_down]

Reminds me of my amateur motocross days, seeing Bob Hannah pull a tearoff or turn around to look behind him mid-jump.
I'd have ended up on a stretcher.

He fought with the best because I believe he can beat the best.

If it wasn't for Iannone this would have been just another snooze fest with J-lo running away from the start of the race.

Did anyone catch Marc's bike coming onto the straight when the rear was bucking and the front had a serious head shake going on?  How does he stay on that thing?

MM would have kept it interesting regardless of Demented Joseph, but it was great to see a 4 rider battle.

If I were Iannone I would be make sure I kept that shoulder dislocated at least once or twice a season. It was almost directly after the first dislocation that he started to get results right?  And after the second one he podiums in a dry tight race against the top riders of the class.

And that MM pic is ridiculous.

Next year will definitely be very interesting considering how the young guys are racing now. Between Michelin and ECU we'll see how guys like Jorghey adapt.
