Hope the 11:5 burn 93 better, I like combustion, not explosion

I call it spell inject at this point
At 11.5:1 93 is the correct choice. You're lucky it's EFI. The carbies get really difficult to tune. Where are you having your ecu mapped?

The 900ie ignition curve seems more tolerant of hi comp but run your 93 MON. No maps for a 2000 model? The pods (especially small ones) without velocity stacks under them don't flow that well, so not as lean as kits like Corse Dynamics, Beast, Beast R, WASP, Ducshop, etc. With little pods clamped on the throttle bodies you might just have to play with trim or used a canned map for a 2000 model.

Starting should be without too much strain as the hot ie cams bleed off some cranking pressure.

We don't use MON. We use an average of Research and MON.

Edit: I based my replies on a Monster ECU. What ECU are you using?

Pinion, what ECU are you using? Did it come with the motor and loom or a Monster ECU? I've lost track. Grin

Should be Marelli a 1.5 ECU. Used on 900ie Monster and Supersport til the change in 02 to the 5.9 ECU. That should open up a few map options across those models I guess.

I see that many maps in the Powercommander library are now deleted. Shame. The website has changed a lot.

To repeat:

Brad Black = bikeboy.org

Also, for that vintage there were no differences between SS900ie & M900ie.

Timing, ignition, rev limiter, fuel delivery(ecu)
Monster rev limiter kicks in around 6500, ss 9500
Also gearbox ratio
I am so available to be wrong
