What did you do today?

DesmoBlob

Change gearing, 520 conversion, R&R the clutch, repaint swingarm & tap holes for new chain adjusters (that actually have functional integrated hook lifters; Ducati dropped the ball by not having spool bosses  :-\).

I was going to powdercoat the rims but found out it adds .5 lb to the front and over 1 lb to the rear. Big step backwards.

Marvel at the virgin Michelin against the cabinet. Heheheh virgins.

Can't think of a better reason to drop the coin on some nice carbon hoops.

I was semi-angling for carbon rims until a certain immobilizer problem cropped up.
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

BOO immobilizer problems!!  But think of it this way, you either have enough cash to do silly things to the Monster, or just get a different bike to mod.  ;)

And what did I do today?  Got a puppy.

Hope he didn't put it down after the first corner.

Did you tell him about this place?  And that he MUST come out to the weekly rides?

I hope he didn't either for the simplest reason that he wasn't riding with any gear at all.  That said he's owned a 916, a 900 SS, and a 999 before and has track time at Willowsprings, Laguna Seca and Mid-Ohio. He's up for coming out on our rides and usually does have leathers and helmet.

Sounds like a winner!

Got a rear stand that actually works for the SC. Also confirmed that the Matt Fox bike is still sitting at south seas. Poor thing is way back in the repair shop with a few mopeds leaning on it. Still has that "SOLD" label on it too. Looks like someone never figured out how to post an add on eBay.

My offer of a straight trade still stands  [cheeky]
