Jud and I were just talking about this.

You guys find a source other than TMZ?

CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, Associated Press, and Reuters have not reported this yet. If this is indeed true, I am definitely staying to BBC News.

it means there was not evidence to the standard of beyond a reasonable doubt for a State to take his freedom away and incarcerate him.  I try about five cases each year where an adult was found not guilty in the criminal court but we have enough evidence to have their children removed from them and have indicated abuse findings stay with them in a child protective services background check and ensure they will never work in a field involving kids, like teaching.

Grown men who build kid traps should kind of expect public opinion to be that they have severe issues.

You can't deny the man was a musical genius ( and I don't use that term lightly )  and an absolute cultural icon.  His influence has greater breadth and depth in contemporary music than most people even realize.

RIP

It very hard to tell what is true and what is not.

When people have more money they know what to do with they tend to act crazy and when you befriend people who have nothing they also tend to act crazy etc.

you don't have to read it.

why is it ok to say bad things about someone only when they are alive?

when someone is alive, there is a chance for them to defend it in some way or fashion.

Anyhow, if that's your cup of tea, then indeed you are correct who am i to say anything.

Have a good one.  I am not going any deeper than I already am and be sucked into this conversation.

not like that at all.

input all you'd like.

please.

He was a very popular and very controversial figure, so there will be lots of sadness from those who liked him and lots of indifference or even joy from those who thought he was deserving of severe punishment.   I have no issues with either opinion.

I just personally don't get the idea of showing respect for someone simply because they have passed.   If there is some historical social reason for that norm, I'm quite open to reconsider my thoughts on the matter.

Jackson has died. To commemorate his musical achievments, McDonalds have released the McJackson Burger. It's a 50 year old piece of aged albino meat shoved between two 8 year old buns.

Michael Jackson died last night from food poisoning. Apparently he ate some 12 year old nuts.

The reports about Michael Jackson having a cardiac arrest are incorrect. He actually went to visit the childrens ward and had a stroke.

I think I heard he sold 750 million records, and CDs in his musical career.

That is a record that will stand and now likely grow even larger.

I feel bad for his children , his fans and his family.

I liked some of his songs. I was never a " Fan ." I did like " Smooth Criminal ."

I will not grieve for him but I'm not glad he died.

he's still behind the beatles and elvis (for now), not anything to complain about by any means.

as an aside, at the time of his death he still owned half the beatles catalog (he sold the other half to sony in '95 when their publishing businesses merged). jackson has supposedly left his half to paul in his will.

regardless of what anyone on the dml thinks, the guy was a LEGEND and his music was the soundtrack of my younger years and the reason why I love music to the extent that I do. regardless of his fame this was a man that died very young and left behind 3 children. such a sad sad day... I wont be able to sleep tonight. MTV is playing all of his videos thru the night. [beer] cheers to a true genius and a legend of our time, thank you and may you rip. I'm at the opposite spectrum. I always hated his music and think he severely damaged music as an art through the successful commercialization of music videos. Before MJ, MTV was a novelty. He legitimized a medium that panders to the lowest common denominator far more than even commercial radio had. He certainly revolutionized the industry, but I don't think that was a good thing.

He's severely socially damaged and (if I actually cared about this sort of stuff) I'd worry about his ability to parent children with long standing patterns of accusations of sexual abuse of children. He was a man-child himself having built an amusement park on his compound named after the place in the Peter Pan books where boys never grow up.

I'm only sad the news media is acting like a real king died.

For all the people out there that think he was such a musical genius I hate to break it to you, but like most musicians he didn't write that much of his music. He only wrote four of the songs on Thriller according to wiki. He could sing, I'll give you that.  But it takes an army to make music and he sure didn't do it himself.

those who are pulling their pants down and shitting on those who grieve here, the point is to allow those who feel sad to feel so. instead you are stepping on it, making it worse. its not all about respect for MJ but respect for those who are reflecting his music and inspired but his charity work.

Michael Jackson is a true humanitarian, an example to us all. He has devoted much time and money to a wide range of charities. He loves children and takes time out when touring secretly visting sick children. He also has special rooms at his home Neverland for sick and terminally ill children to stay over. He was listed in the 2000 edition of the Guiness Book Of World Records for breaking the world record for the "Most Charities Supported By a Pop Star". It states that Michael Jackson has supported 39 charity organizations either with monetary donations through sponsorships of their projects or by participating in their silent auction.

We have made an alphabetical list of known charities that Michael Jackson has individualy supported publically throughout his career. Michael Jackson also helped set up Heal The World Foundation, the charities this has supported have not been listed. Read our Heal The World/kids page for details of this foundation.

MADONNA

"I can't stop crying over the sad news. I've always admired Michael Jackson - the world has lost one of its greats, but his music will live on forever.
"My heart goes out to his three children and other members of his family. God bless."
BEYONCE KNOWLES, SINGER
"The incomparable Michael Jackson has made a bigger impact on music than any other artist in the history of music. He was magic. He was what we all strive to be. ... I love you Michael."
CELINE DION, SINGER
"I am shocked. I am overwhelmed by this tragedy. Michael Jackson has been an idol for me all my life.
"He was not only a talented person, but he was unique - a genius. It's such a loss. It feels like when Kennedy died, when Elvis died. My sympathy goes to the family. It's a big loss and it's not even sinking in right now."
URI GELLER, FRIEND

Uri Geller says his friend Michael Jackson 'went through hell'

"I'm just devastated, very, very sad. I pray that his soul is up there now. I'm still trying to hold on to the glimmer that it is not true. It is too surreal for me to absorb that Michael is no longer with us.
"Michael was in good shape because he was practising, he was training, he was rehearsing for the shows. Michael was careful with what he ate, he was just fine. Last time I heard of what he was doing, he was in great shape. And this is why I'm so absolutely shocked by this news."
CHER, SINGER
"I'm having a million different reactions I didn't expect I would feel.
"He was a great singer - God gives you certain gifts, and this child was just an extraordinary child touched by this ability. He could sing like nobody else and he was able to connect with people."
QUINCY JONES, MUSIC PRODUCER
"I'm absolutely devastated at this news. I just don't have the words. Divinity brought our souls together and allowed us to do what we could do through the 80s.
"To this day that music is played in every corner of the world, and the reason is because he had it all - talent, grace and professionalism. I've lost my little brother today and part of my soul has gone with him."
LISA MARIE PRESLEY, JACKSON'S EX-WIFE
"I am so very sad and confused with every emotion possible.
I am heartbroken for his children, who I know were everything to him, and for his family.
This is such a massive loss on so many levels, words fail me."
LENNY KRAVITZ, SINGER
Lenny Kravitz has worked with Jackson

"There will never be another talent like Michael Jackson.
"He was the first live performer I ever saw. I got to see him at Madison Square Garden when I was eight. If not for him, I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing.
"He gave me joy as a child and showed me the way to go. He was music. Period.
May you rest in peace sweet Michael. You gave us all you had to give."
JOHN LANDIS, THRILLER VIDEO DIRECTOR
I was lucky enough to know and work with Michael Jackson in his prime. Michael was an extraordinary talent and a truly great international star. He had a troubled and complicated life and despite his gifts, remains a tragic figure."

REV AL SHARPTON, CIVIL RIGHTS CAMPAIGNER
"As a friend of Michael's for the past 35 years, I call on people from around the world to pray for him and his family."
P DIDDY, SINGER
"Michael Jackson showed me that you can actually see the beat. He made the music come to life. He made me believe in magic. I will miss him."
JANE FONDA, ACTRESS
"I am stunned. My friend, Michael Jackson, is dead. He lived with me for a week on the 'Golden Pond' set after Thriller.
ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER, CALIFORNIA GOVERNOR
"He was one of the most influential and iconic figures in the music industry.
"Our hearts go out to the Jackson family, Michael's children and to his fans worldwide."
USHER, SINGER
"My heart goes out to the King of Pop and his family."
PAUL GAMBACCINI, MUSIC JOURNALIST

Paul Gambaccini: "Michael Jackson was the greatest showman we had ever seen"

"Definitely one of the greatest stars of recorded music. There is no doubt of that. He would be in the top 10 of all time, regardless of who the other nine people were.
"But you also have to remember that he went through different stages and owed some of his popularity to collaborators - Quincy Jones, with whom he did the great trilogy of albums: Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad."

Paul Gambaccini's tribute in full
BRITNEY SPEARS, SINGER

"He has been an inspiration to multiple generations, and I will always cherish the moments I shared with him onstage and all of the things I learned about music from him, and the time we spent together.
"My heart goes out to his family and loved ones."
DONNA SUMMER, SINGER

"Michael was and will remain one of the greatest entertainers that ever lived.
"He was exceptional, artistic and original. He gave the world his heart and soul through his music.
MATT FIDDES, FORMER BODYGUARD
"He's the most misunderstood man in world. Everyone thought he was this weird freak but when you're with him he's as normal as everyone else. I don't think he felt he was as famous as everyone else thought, he didn't know any different.
"He was a very caring guy who would go out of his way to help the sick. One night in London he wanted to see some homeless people. He sent them loads of pizzas in secret. The guy had a good heart.
"We used to dress him up and sneak out of hotel room and do normal things in shops. People wouldn't know who he was but we wanted to give him a taste of the real life."
ALICE COOPER, SINGER
"Michael Jackson was easily as influential as James Brown, and that's saying a lot. He was the Fred Astaire of his time.
"Nobody moved like Michael, he was truly the King of Pop."

Thanks Beck.  [thumbsup] He was the undisputed king of pop and I hardly think that there's any performer or fan who wasn't emotionally touched by his performing talent. His legacy will surely live on and he will be remembered more than likely in a brighter light posthumously, like most great people who have left their indelible mark in history.

The way that history looks upon those iconic figures is often in the best of light. Most people don't hang on the negative when it comes to people who breached the spectrum of both good and disreputable in history. Most people don't first think about Van Gogh for having cut off his ear and being crazy, although it is a part of his "legacy." He's most often admired for the beauty of his artwork.

That being said, I don't condone the things that MJ was accused of having done in his life. In fact when his autopsy is revealed, all hell is probably going to break loose. So celebrate now, because I have a feeling that dark days are ahead for his reputation. Speculation is that his hear attack was caused by a drug related overdose.   :-\

There's a difference between mental illness and pedophilia. When you think of Adolf Hitler, do you think of the autobahns? or the Holocaust?

EDIT - didn't mean to compare MJ to Hitler, just sayin' he'll probably be remembered just as much for the negative stuff as for the positive.

those who are pulling their pants down and shitting on those who grieve here, the point is to allow those who feel sad to feel so. instead you are stepping on it, making it worse. its not all about respect for MJ but respect for those who are reflecting his music and inspired but his charity work.

If you've ever worked in a volunteer origanization you'll see this same personality type. Trying to sooth the guilt. The guy was a pedo. He hadn't made good music in 2 decades. Scarred numerious children. The world is better now than it was yesterday. Grieve for his victims. Emotions better spent.

my take

The man had talent but a genius he was not.

The boy lived a weird life and when he became a man the weird oozed back out.

I feel bad for his family, his real friends and his children (even if he did buy them)

None of us know for certain if he was a true pedophile, I but I can say without a doubt, I'd never let my kids have a sleepover at neverland ranch and anyone who did.... wanted something out of it, be it money or a shot of fame.

I find it sad that people the world round are making this the spectacle it is....... dying broke and having Corey Feldman sing my praises on the morning news is not how I wanna go out.  I want more.

he may not be a genius to some but to me the guy is a legend an icon, nobody danced like that nobody had those beats/basslines and nobody touched the entire universe like he did. nobody.
was he weird? 100% but all artists are.

The most disturbing thing is the children could identify and describe what his penis looked like. Not sure how you could do that if you didn't see it. Sick sick sick man.

there is absolutely ZERO evidence that he has in fact molested anybody.  go watch the interviews from the jury in his last trial. EVERY SINGLE JUROR said there was no way MJ molested that boy. The kid was coached and the mother had absolutely no credibility. They were describing the way she was acting. All she cared about was the money. MJ missed out on his childhood. Caused him to act strangely when he was an adult. Missing out on your child doesn't mean your going to be a child molester. Please show me some concrete evidence. There's a reason why the guy didn't go to jail. The only reason why he paid off the first family is because he didn't want to deal with the public harassment. So then the next family thought this was the ticket and they obviously thought wrong. All of these parents were just after his money using their kids for bait.

OK, Beck, you've now opened this thread up to that discussion.  I was believing your position on perhaps letting this one go with your argument that it's for fans grieving, but thread is now open and fair game for all comments about Michael Jackson pro or con.

Have at it, folks.

Being in the system, I don't give a rat's ass what jurors say because I know what they get in terms of info in a trial.  I am biased in the negative because of what I do, but what I do also give me some insight into signs to look for.   People are not smart.   People do not go after every rich person and accuse them of being a pedophile for money.  People do not think "gee, he's got a personal amusement park, maybe he's a good target.'   There is a reason he was 'targeted' and others wealthy famous people were not, if you believe he was targeted.

I will never convince you he had a problem because he was your hero and for that I give him props...he inspired you and had an influence on who you are now.  cool.   you will never convince me he was not a sick man who preyed on those who could not protect themselves.  Fine.   Perhaps the world of good he did offsets what I believe.

Perhaps the discussion of his musical influence should be a separate one from his personal life, but that is, as we know, very difficult.

But this thread is open for business.    Chime in if you have an opinion good or bad..

OK, Beck, you've now opened this thread up to that discussion.

I really don't care about what anyone says about his or her feelings towards MJ in this thread anymore to tell you the truth, because in the end millions of people feel exactly the same way I do about the man. There will never be another figure like him that's for sure and I am happy that he was around in my time. I will never forget my mom waking me up at midnight to see michael jackson do the moonwalk on the music awards show in 1982 - ever since then I was obsessed with the man... it's sad to be that famous but be so very lonely in the world.
did he molest those kids? who REALLY knows, not you not me. do I feel that he did? no absolutely not. This is bigger then princess diana passing The world will mourn this loss for days upon days and his funeral will be that one of A KING.

My child's heroes will not be those who want so desperately to not be themselves that they physically desecrate their own bodies.

My child's heroes will not be those who build shrines dedicated to an obsession to not growing up and prevent all access to it by the public, making it creepy and suspicious.  (which is different than being playfull and young at heart).

My child will still appreciate music and arts.

At least that is what I will discuss with her.

I have a hard time being emotionally invested in other people's verdict on him either - I don't care.  But I have noticed that people that provide a summary judgement one way or another do so based on how they feel either about MJ or about child molesters, and not about the actual cases.  I really don't see a whole lot in the way of debate about facts - these are verdicts based on emotion.  Child molestation is one of those issues where accusation is about the same as verdict.  And why not?  Why would we run even the slightest risk of having someone predate our children?

That being said, I am with Beck.  Everything I have seen suggest that Jackson, while deeply weird, was more likely the victim of gold bricking parents than those children a victim of Jackson.

Both thats being said, I think the acid test for Jackson being pedo or not pedo is whether you would let your kids sleep over at Neverland -  my answer is no.  The kids would not have spent any time there.

Really? He settled out of court for a huge amount of money. Prosecuters may not have been able to meet the burden of evidence but a civil trial doesn't require the same. And an innocent man would tell them to shove it on principle. He paid cause it was going badly and about to get worse, and I'll bet the real details would make "The Gimp" retch. I love country music, but I agree, the new "country" radio airplay is not country. It is a pop music blend. Look at Taylor Swift and that other idol girl, can't think of her name.

Garth Brooks, Brooks and Dunn, Clint Black, etc. Those are country artists.

One could make the arguement that Garth Brooks started the new country genre as he was the first truely successful artist to hit the mainstream airwaves.

You aren't talking about a guy that one time, out of the blue, was accused of child molestation. Your hero paid over $22 million to make the 1993 case go away and was charged with 7 additional counts ten years later. I haven't met many (in fact none) accused child molestors that were innocent. As as the other poster said, giving to charities was just a way for him to numb his guilt and sway people like you into thinking it's ok to have sleepovers with little boys. But don't let me stand in your way. Press forward, be a super fan, mourn his passing. I'll just skip all the that and hope that something more newsworthy rids my TV/internet/radio of this soon.

But don't let me stand in your way. Press forward, be a super fan, mourn his passing. I'll just skip all the that and hope that something more newsworthy rids my TV/internet/radio of this soon.

An article that mixes the names of the victim and father (in the headline) appears on an obscure lesbian blog site.  Following the links to other web sites, we see wackos wanting the kid dead.

With 23 megabucks in the till since '93 there's gotta be a lawyer or two involved.  Do you really think they'd turn the kid loose to say anyhting now with nuts out on the fringe sharpening thier pitchforks?

I am sure that is peer reviewed article.

I'd love to know how much Jermaine or Latoya Jackson got for selling the news of the death to TMZ; they broke the story about an hour before any credible news outlet could corroborate the claims. TMZ has been known to pay good money for breaking news and the Jackson family is dirty enough to totally exploit Michael for a few more $$.

if your son was molested wouldn't you want to see him go to jail?
would you take your sons blood money?
they knew their kids were staying over and LET IT HAPPEN. then a ligt when off and they figured out they could make cash.
regardless of anything said here the facts are the guy is a musical genius respected around the world more so then US presidents or Foreign kings.

Yes, I would want to see him go to jail. But being involved in that industry I know that he would be out in 2-3 years and I would still have a emotionally scarred son. If offered 22M I would probably take it. Spend 1M on therapy, balance on son's education and he is set for life, and giving the 22M probably hurt MJ more.

Conversly. If I was ever accused of a crime that I did not commit. A crime that is even looked down upon by murderer's and rapists? Would I settle or take a plea? Not a chance.

And MJ is not respected. Yes he has millions of fans the world over. That's not respect, that's adoration. I adore Vanessa Marcil. I don't respect her. Hell, I don't even know her. But when semi-lame "Las Vegas" comes on, she's got me.  :)

stupidest thing to say oh he didn't write his songs, hardly any pop artist writes their own tracks - and FYI he wrote 5 songs on the thriller album one of which is BILLIE JEAN, which to this day has the nassstiest bassline, imagine that was 1982 - guy was wayyy ahead of his time.

If one person needs writes well but can't sing, and another person sings well but doesn't write as strongly, they need each other. Either alone is useless.

I've been silent till now.

I never considered MJ an artist.

He was the consummate showman.

I honestly have to say what he did had little to do with music.

Sorry Beck...

It's just what I think.

hey its cool man but you're definitely in the minority.
some of the worlds biggest producers, artists , singers, dancers all consider him to be a musical genius and say that he had an influence on them in some way.
his dancing, his beats, his singing, his live performances his videos - all changed music, all ground breaking. it's a fact.
I highly doubt we'll have another artist like him anytime soon.
50/60 and up had their beatles (which to me are gods as well, thats a whole other thread lol) we had our MJ

No he's not. I feel that way and know a shit ton of others that feel the same way about his career and contributions.

Please never make a comparison between the Beatles and Michael Jackson. Don't even make a comparison between MJ and Elvis.

Aren't you aware that MJ bought the rights to the Beetles music out from underneath McCartney?

He really showed a lot of respect there. That really isn't applicable here, though.

Ugh

this will definitely make me unpopular

but i can't shake the feeling that as weird as Michael Jackson was

I buy the whole thing about him loving children and not in an inappropriate way

the dewd never had a childhood

and

I find it more plausible that a few kids parents put them up to lying for cash

than I do that he was a kiddie toucher

My assumption for this is based off the fact that he was a child star, instantly famous, and remained that way until his death

never having had his feet ever touch the ground and never understanding or even seeing real life

he was unable to perceive that underage kids in your bed was a bad thing

but I guess that the only one who really knows is dead and now the others wont be believed regardless of where the truth lies

Beck posted a ton of pics, but I didn't see any Mensa tshirts in the bunch. Numbers really don't mean a thing in CRITICAL evaluation. If they did, Independence Day would be a much better film than Citizen Kane.

I'm the right demographic to like MJ. I was in 3rd grade when thriller was huge. I also played guitar semi-professionally for about a decade. If we're going to have a dick measuring contest over subjective opinions, I wanted to throw a bit of reality down before I unzipped. LOTS OF MUSIC PEOPLE HATED HIM AND HIS MUSIC. IT'S SUBJECTIVE.

Not Hindu, Jain, Sikh or Buddhist, so karma means nothing to me.

I guess since the WHO estimates that 17% of the worlds population suffers from mental illness, and 17% of 6.7B = 1,139,000,000... I can see why they can find people crying.

Crying over the loss of a celebrity (unless you were a close friend or family) is like crying over a dead battery.  Sure it served you well, but once it's gone, there are more on the shelves waiting for you to part with your $$$.

+1

I'm also of the right age to be influenced by MJ. I'm also a musician, having played several instruments growing up...and having played in bands throughout college and for several years afterwards. My wife even thinks I'm a music snob!  [cheeky]

I am not now, and never was, a fan of MJ. Most of my musician friends feel the same way. The ones that do like his music don't think he was a "king" of anything.

I also don't like The Grateful Dead. Whatever.

I was impacted more by Kurt Cobain's death...and even that didn't make me sad since I didn't know the guy (just liked his music). I just thought it was a bummer there wouldn't be any more Nirvana albums.

Music is subjective Beck. None of us that don't like MJ are "wrong".  [roll]

MJ wasn't the biological father and she wasn't the biological mother.

Did this surprise anyone?!

He hated his looks.  Why would he father children who would have his genetics?

I'm about done with MJ all over news but it'll get dragged out longer than O.J.

It took a while for Karma to catch up, and he got lucky at the trial.   To paraphrase Chris Rock, if 1 person says you are touching kids, well maybe you are or aren't, but if 50 people say it, you are a child molester.

And worse than that, Ed McMahon won't ever show up with the prize van  in my driveway.  Now that is sad.

MJ breaks Billboard Record this week [clap] [clap] [clap] [bow_down] [bow_down] [bow_down]
Not a shock, but MJ has 9 of the top 10 albums this week

Jackson himself has a record eight out of the top 10, while a Jackson 5 compilation also finds its way into the upper tier.

The King of Pop's "Number Ones" will fittingly lead the pack at No. 1 with 108,000 (an increase of 2,340%) while "The Essential Michael Jackson" and "Thriller" are in the Nos. 2 and 3 slots with 102,000 and 101,000, respectively. Last week "Number Ones" was the only Jackson title on the chart, at No. 20 with 4,000 copies; both "Essential" and "Thriller" re-enter the tally this week.

Additionally, his classic 1979 studio set "Off the Wall" re-enters at No. 4 with 33,000 while his 1987 album "Bad" returns at No. 6 with 17,000. At No. 5, the Jackson 5's "The Ultimate Collection" debuts with 18,000. Jackson's fourth studio album for Epic Records, 1991's "Dangerous," re-enters at No. 7 with 14,000 while his 2001 compilation "Greatest Hits: HIStory -- Volume 1" also comes back to the list at No. 8 with 12,000. Finally, Jackson's 2004 box set "The Ultimate Collection" charts its first week on the Pop Catalog chart, arriving at No. 9 with 11,000.

Speaking of digital albums, on the Top Digital Albums chart, Jackson has a record six out of the top 10 slots, including the entire top four. "The Essential Michael Jackson" leads the Top Digital Albums list with 80,000 downloads sold, while "Thriller" is No. 2 with 57,000.

I am guessing the monkey entered rehab due to his extensive drug use caused by being jerked off by MJ one too many times. Once his addiction passed, he spent several months in a mental hospital getting his life back together. Eventually, he was released and is living in a sanctuary in Florida

or

this really happened:

Whatever happened to Bubbles the chimp?
Now age 26, Michael Jackson's pet is alive and well in Florida sanctuary
PEOPLE.com
updated 8:59 a.m. ET, Tues., June 30, 2009

With all the discussion surrounding the shocking death of Michael Jackson, people have wondered whatever happened to his beloved chimpanzee Bubbles. It turns out, the chimp is alive and well and monkeying around in a Florida primate sanctuary, PEOPLE has learned.

The 26-year old chimp, who lived with Jackson in the late 1980s, has spent the past four years at the Center For Great Apes, home to forty-two chimpanzees and orangutans.

"He's a very sweet and nice chimp, he really is," says sanctuary director Patti Ragan. "I've seen him go to the drinking fountain, start to take a sip of water and then, when he hears one of the younger ones coming, he'll step back and let them have a sip."

A Jackson visit?
Bubbles was born at a facility in Texas that breeds primates for medical testing before Jackson adopted him in the '80s. The chimp arrived at Ragan's sanctuary â€" which is not open to the public â€" in 2005 after the singer's former animal trainer stopped working with primates. Not long after, a rep for Jackson contacted the facility, saying that Michael wanted to come and visit his former buddy. But the singer never made the trip.

Over the years, Bubbles has grown into a good-sized adult, and now weighs 160 lbs. His facial features have also changed since his days when he often romped around with Jackson in matching Western outfits. "That pink baby face of his has disappeared," Ragan says. "He still has a lot of fleshy color in his face. But he's a huge guy now and that probably is going to surprise a lot of people."

These days, he spends his time hanging out with a group of six other chimps. Among his favorite things to do: eating sweet potatoes, listening to flute-and-guitar music, painting and kicking back with longtime buddy Sam, 40. "The two of them like to climb up to the top of a cupola [located on the sanctuary grounds] and just sit there, staring out over the orange groves, watching the traffic in the distance," says Ragan. "He loves being up there."

Bubbles's future
And the chimpanzee hasn't been told of his former owner's recent death. "We haven't said anything to him yet," she says, adding that his mood over the past few days has been typically chimp-like: "He's been his usual self, interacting with friends, eating well, taking cover when it rains."

Ragan says it's not yet known if Jackson stipulated that any money from his estate would be used to support Bubbles, who could easily live to the age of 60. To this date, his care has come from solely from public donations. To learn more about Bubbles's new home, go to CenterForGreatapes.org

"Genius" is a word used too often.  MJ was a singer and dancer, and a great one with millions of fans all around the world.  But a genius?  Newton was a genius, MJ was a singer.

I just bought a new car stereo... When you shout out "Soul", it plays soul music. When you shout out "Rock", it plays rock music. Some kids ran in front of my car, and I shouted "f*cking kids!", and it played Michael Jackson.

Q: What's the difference between Michael Jackson and a grocery bag?
A: One is white, made out of plastic, and dangerous for kids to play with and the other you carry your groceries in.

Q: How does Michael Jackson pick his nose?
A: From a catalogue.

lyrics

Skin head, dead head
Everybody gone bad
Situation, aggravation
Everybody allegation
In the suite, on the news
Everybody dog food
Bang bang, shot dead
Everybody's gone mad

All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us
All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us

Beat me, hate me
You can never break me
Will me, thrill me
You can never kill me
Jew me, sue me
Everybody do me
Kick me, kike me
Don't you black or white me!

All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us
All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us

Tell me what has become of my life
I have a wife and two children who love me
I am the victim of police brutality, now
I'm tired of bein' the victim of hate
You're rapin' me of my pride
Oh, for God's sake
I look to heaven to fulfill its prophecy...
Set me free

Skin head, dead head
Everybody gone bad
trepidation, speculation
Everybody allegation
In the suite, on the news
Everybody dog food
black man, black male
Throw your brother in jail

All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us
All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us

Tell me what has become of my rights
Am I invisible because you ignore me?
Your proclamation promised me free liberty, now
I'm tired of bein' the victim of shame
They're throwing me in a class with a bad name
I can't believe this is the land from which I came
You know I do really hate to say it
The government don't wanna see
But if Roosevelt was livin'
He wouldn't let this be, no, no

Skin head, dead head
Everybody gone bad
Situation, speculation
Everybody litigation
Beat me, bash me
You can never trash me
Hit me, kick me
You can never get me

All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us
All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us

Some things in life they just don't wanna see
But if Martin Luther was livin'
He wouldn't let this be

Skin head, dead head
Everybody gone bad
Situation, segregation
Everybody allegation
In the suite, on the news
Everybody dog food
Kick me, strike me
Don't you wrong or right me

All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us
All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us

All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us
All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us

All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us

Is that this the last resort?  All you can do is try to discredit the people that are making fun of your dead hero?

If these PM's truly did happen, why are you posting up about them?   As redxblack said, do you not understand the concept of "Private Message"?  I hope the people that trusted you with their personal thoughts understand that this was a petty attempt at redeeming yourself and will not lose faith that the rest of us can respect their wanted privacy.

You sir (and I use the term sir loosely) are a tool for posting up about what others have confided in you. (I thought about sending this in a private message, but would it truly remain private?)

Now, back to your regularly scheduled MJ bashing!

unless he posted the contents of said PMs, i'd say he hasn't betrayed any confidence.

this one is done.   I'm glad the post that finished it off was self-deleted (even if it was after the thread got locked and I commented on it elsewhere).
