The Enduro version of the Ducati 450 motocross bike won the Biltwell 100 with Jordan Graham piloting. Hard to believe a Ducati flying over whoop de doos in the desert.

Yes the CEO of Ducati North America Jason Chinock had a specially built Ducati 450 RT built so he could compete in the 1971 t0 1990 twin shock class at the Biltwell 100 which was an off road race.  The bike is a beauty.

This is a really great video that features a Ducati 748R and a 2020 Panigale V2.  Can a 90s bike really cut it in todays electrinics ruled motorcycle world? I know which I would choose and it would not be the Panigale even if I am not Jokey sized!



I do think all these electronics are messing with the ride.

Here is a great subject done extremely well by Motorcycle News in the UK. The owner is asked a variety of questions about his bike and he tells the Interviewer, in this case Michael Nieves, about his bike.  I have ridden a 996 one time in the mountains of southern New Mexico. The route was Ruidoso to Cloudcroft to Sun Spot and close to Artesia. At that point I could handle no more.  I am 6 feet two inches and was about 220 lbs back then. I certainly didn't ride it anywhere near its full potential. But I had a greattime on it.  I let the owner take the bike back while I rode his BMW on the return to Ruidoso retracing the route back from Cloudcroft to Ruidoso. Anyway the article tells you the owner is very happy with his 996 and he enjoys going to track days and riding his bike against modern Panigales.  Listen to his comparison between his bike and the Panigales at a track day
