replacement unsplit motor may cost $1000 or so depending on miles.  That puts it around $3000, then you need to race prep it.  That's an easy $2500 more, now your at $5500.  See where Im going. 

For me (someone who crashed 4 times last year), the items I needed to replace were disposable items like bar ends, foot pegs, levers, and the big item was I had to replace my can when it vibrated apart.
