It's out of it's original manufacturer's warranty and the extended one I bought doesn't cover paint. DAMMIT.

Kia Spectra. Just on the driver's side mirror so it's not a huge deal but I was going to try to sell it. And it looks really bad.

can you replace/repaint just the mirror?

if it's the mirror, it could be caused by a rock chip.  the mirror is plastic, and paint does not adhere to it as well as metal.
