Early day salutations.

Will be a last minute call here to see if I have a 3 hour road trip that will yield little.  Six hours in the hoopty is not what I feel like today.

Mary, sorry to hear about the Jeep's ailments. I seem to recall my Jeep's radiator having issues (full replacement) at about that point and then again after another 100k ish miles.  The tranny however has been bullet and Stella proof.   ;)   Hopefully yours is a simple fix!

Oh and you all should have seen the pile of bacon the boss-man walked through the office with yesterday.  Could have fed all of us AND Zipster for a week!   [laugh]

What's a hoopty?

Yeah I know Google knows everything, but just pretend I'm a foreigner who needs to be humoured  ;)

It's slang for a vehicle.  And I believe it may have originated in the ghettos of Detroit, amongst the shadows of the auto manufacturer's headquarters.  ;)

Yep. Your "hoopty" qualifies for its own mailing address.  I believe Lethe lives in his too.

No thanks.

And on that note, time for me to figure out what direction I'm heading today.  Adios all.

yikes Ung . . . but, good at the same time . . .

Now to the serious stuff:

can someone tell me how do I know if I am close to be burned out? It's getting more and more difficult to wake up not get up, but, the actual waking up, by noon my mind has trouble processing stuff and the only way I've seen I can get back some of it is by taking a nap :o I am not a nap person.

I've been working basically non-stop for 3 years, vacation, DIMBY2012 and between Dec21~Jan1 of this past year . . . trip to Miami do not count as vacation since I continue to work and take care of my grandmother while I do my regular work. Some friends say I am snapping fster than usual . ..  just some of the details . .

thanks for any input

these 3 years I've been working sort of "me being my boss" under contract from another company . ..  usually there is a vacation somewhere in there, but it has been non-stop, if not under contract then at the shop[which is not closed but only operates Saturdays] . . .

I could ask for vacation, but, at this time, we're in the middle of new software deployment so, tech support is needed to either, 'teach' or 'fix' or just 'do it'.

I have never felt like this, that's why I'm assuming I'm close to being burned out . . .
