Good news on the big fire down south that Bick has been helping to fight.

It rained there yesterday and containment went from 5% on Thursday to 45% today.  [thumbsup]

It's much cooler today, so that should help as well.

The bad news is that at least 479 homes are a total loss.

Keep doing your rain dances for us!!!

In other news, the paddle boarding experiment with the dogs was a moderate success.  While the intent was for Stella to get the little guy on the board, Brian the Boxer wanted to play along as well.  He did pretty good, until we got close to shore and the commotion made him a little uneasy and he bailed off into water way deeper than he was expecting.  Even though he's not much of a swimmer, he managed to figure it out and got to shore pretty easily.  Maybe she'll post some pics in the doggy thread.

But first, we need to ready for a concert.  Tedeschi Trucks Band @ Red Rocks Amphitheatre tonight.  Grace Potter & the Nocturnals along with JJ Grey & Mofro are the opening acts.  Should be good.  [beer]

Back from a week of riding based near the Cherohala Skyway and Deals gap!

Good time, no wrecks/injuries for out group.  Just a couple driving awards for a couple folks.

Dropped of a bunch of donated goods last night and one nonprofit turned me away - they had been inundated by so many others with supplies (people are good - and they beat me there!) but was directed to another that was taking stuff.  



In other news, Oliver eventually got the hang of the paddle board and liked it, Brian, not so much.  He's too big and he's not designed for the water anyway.  Fun day though.

The ducks are all OK.

I haven't checked on the last two this morning, but they were acting just like ducks last night.

I'll put them in with their siblings today and then they'll all move outside to the turkey coop.
