I figured as much considering the rest of your construction! You know thats the one thing I have never had a crack at! Dunno why but I am a little afraid of tiling!  ???

The dentist we use for the kids is called the "tooth fairy" and upon request they dress up as fairies and sprinkle fairy dust all over the place but it takes their mind off it and they actually look forward to it! Needless to say the proprietors aren't doing to bad for themselves going by the car-park and booking lead-up times!!

I did a stall shower in the old house years ago.

It came out OK. I hope I remember all the pitfalls. I have a friend that does a bunch of it. I guess I could call him and see what he's up to right now.

This is house number 7 and the last (I hope) for us and bar a coupe of minor things like gates and screens it was finished when we bought it. Can't say i'm unhappy bout that either as it is the first one that was finished.

This is my 4th house...counting the one under construction.

It's definitely the last.

Gets scary when you are gypsies and you realise your kids have lived in more houses then the years they have been alive! We have been here nearly 3 years which will be a record for us and the girls will have equalized the house/age ratio!

Is there something you dont do? ;D
My dad could build a whole house bar the plumbing and wiring. Great skills under the trade name "building mason"back in the day.
I don't really do plumbing.

I can, but don't like it.

I worked with the wire monkeys, and could have done it myself, but it would have taken forever.

I'm really only so so at most of the building trades. I can't afford to hire pros.

I hear you. Sometimes some overtime/extra hours to pay the man is less hours than it would take doing it myself. Took me awhile to finally get that equation. :P

Plastering and tiling......there you go....two things I haven't done! Everything else I have done at some point.....I'm with you Nate, I can do it but don't rank me as a professional at any trades. I occasionally drive past our previous properties (the ones that are nearby anyway) and there all still standing along with all the things I built! Gotta count for something I guess!  [thumbsup]

I've done a bunch of it over the years.

Just don't do it regularly enough to get really good.

Yep I take my car to a mechanic..........if I wanted to be in IT I would have studied that rather than motor mechanics! I don't enjoy it at all anymore! Tinkering on bikes has it's enjoyment for some reason it's different! I like building stuff and the satisfaction of that is rewarding.
