My old Greenfield mower is getting pretty sad too.  It's built like a Soviet tank though.... I'm reluctant to allow it to die.  They almost certainly dont make 'em like that any more (bad for business  ;)).  Man, I beat the shit out of the poor thing and it (mostly) just keeps coming back for more.

My rider was old when I bought it. It's certainly not rugged though...the deck is flimsy, and the blade spindles will bend or shatter the housing if you look at them funny.

I think Carlos has a vision problem.

He just can't see going to work today. ;)

Rectal Glaucoma* it sounds like...

Swing blades on a disc are better than fixed blade to spindle IMO...

especially when there's rockage to be mowed.

I bought our mower new.... twenty-odd years or so ago, cost a bloody fortune  :o.  But it's never had an ounce of love and just keeps keepin' on (once I reattach jettisoned essentials that is).  Money well spent.

Not sure if they even make a disc type rotary mower for lawns here.

My Bush Hog uses that style of blade and is really rugged, but the quality of cut isn't up to 'lawn' standards.

I'll have to look carefully when it's time to buy.

That super moon is still here! Woke up a while ago and saw it, back to sleep, up at 0500 - still there.

I have not had to mow lawn in almost 8 years now.

ungeheuer

Morning LMT.

Grass must be gettin' very long.

Porsche 911 would be a very nice ride!

You been sitting out on the porch Carlos?

Shotgun over your lap?

"Get off my land!"

Evening All! Lol!

Ung, Ye olde Greenfield mowers were very tough!

Certainly don't make them as such now!

I could do that with my pistol grip 12 gauge, but it might spook the neighbors a little.

As for my lawn, the Honda engined Victa Mustang works a treat!

Love the 4-stroke!

The old 2 stroke (my dad bought in the early 80's) died a few years back. It had given faithful service for close to 30 years!
