It's more about anchoring the plates to the foundation correctly, and proper nailing of the sheathing IMO.

Some locales require metal strapping between floors, but here we just make certain that the sheathing overlaps the 2 levels. We're not in the plains, or the desert.

OSB/plywood does an amazing job of stiffening a building.

Dogs that chew through sheetrock only do it once in my house...guaranteed.

That dog that chewed through the sheet rock (and did some other stuff) helped me chase off the Mountain lion the other night.  [thumbsup]

I should rent out my barn for money and pay someone to do the cars.
